Yu-Gi-Oh!! VENDREAD DECK PROFILE!! The Zombie Outbreak Has Begun!

For the first time on the channel here is my take on Vendread! One of the most overlooked TCG exclusive archetypes. Most of the lists I've seen are just flat out bad. You can tell they haven't tested much with them, this list challenges that. While not meta relevant, a good pilot can most likely dominate locals or even top a regional with this list!

Seems like a good list, I personally Run 2 Battlelord so that Vendread Evolution has a target and 2 Scar the Vendread as having more access to him is pretty good and I am also running 3 Origin, 2 Evolution and 2 Ravenous. I know having 7 Ritiual Spells might seem a lot but I just personally prefer having more access to Ravenous as it's basically a guaranteed combo to loop into Slayer with multiple effects or even an untargettable Executor with various effects. Also it's surprising how a Revenants/Houndhorde Slayer is just an absolute power house with barely any counter.

Yea I've considered running a 2nd battlelord solely for the fact that like you said you can send battlelord to summon battlelord off of evolution. However I still think multiple scars are unnecessary I get its important to the theme but it really is bricky when you hard open it plus once it's in the GY it continually recycles itself making other copies somewhat useless. Again my opinion tho. I tried going for maximum consistency with this list.

I have decided to revisit the Vendread archetype and sculpt into alsomething unfair enough to consistenly get wins this season. I like your setup and the work you did to add some legitimacy to the strategy

Couple things Vendreads need are more regular Effect Monsters that can protect and attack prior to you getting Ritual Monsters out and atleast 2 more Big Bruiser type Ritual Monsters. Also needs some more spell and trap support.

Completely agree with you. I wish they had non rituals that did more on field other than give the rituals effects. What they do is cool and all but we really needed play starters which none of them are.

I've gotten more into Yugioh and I like the Vendreads though obviously the deck is seriously lacking in more support so obviously need to know what to add or include to improve it.

Cool profile but out of style reasons I would like to play on zombie monster only version, in that case what would you replace for the 4 non zombies in the deck Opinion on Vendread Chimera? (I think its not worth in an more competitive, but how would you include it if you had to?)

Well diviner fills a strong role and unfortunately there isn't really a zombie that does anything close to what she does. I suppose you could run something like gozuki in her place or shiranui solitare to get more access to unizombie but unizombie alone sometimes doesn't help the deck get to its rituals which can be problematic.

@@Nickscruiser thank you for your comment, maybe a zombie support card for ritual monster would be the perfect fit but if there are non, I consider playing diviner then if I play the deck more serious, its only 1 extra deck slot anyways
