Did you know...Many many hours of practice n rehearsals to reach this level of performer. It's at least 10 years to become an accomplished star performer. It is 5-7 years of formal training, including formal schooling. Many more hours of vocal lessons. Chinese Opera encompasses More hours than to become an intern Doctor. Too bad the art, which is so unique and one of a kind is not appreciated more. Only the Chinese have this art to speak of. It is stylized, traditional and filled with old culture and symbolism. Other art forms has its roots from Cantonese and Kun Qu Chinese Opera, i.e, Lion Dancing, Kabuki, Taiko drums to name few. Cantonese Opera is at least 10 years older than Beijing Opera. Both have the same rigid training. Enjoy! It is a dying art form.
