I agree that the structure of this speech is similar to Steve Jobs' @ Stanford: (1) it's about connecting the dots - you never when the skills that you picked up randomly will be useful one day. (2) You gotta do what you love. (3) The worst thing could be the best thing - Jobs was fired by Apple, but because of this he founded Pixar. Similarly, people think that it's a disaster for Erica to leave TVB, but it turns out to be the best thing happened to her.
