TRANSLATION: Hello, I am the voice actor for Rosaria, Ai Kakuma I don't know why they want to interview me, I hope it ends quickly... Is what Rosaria would say but I'm not actually like that! (humor doesn't really translate well lol) I will try my best today, I am very happy to be here for you guys! Q: About Genshin ( 0:30 ) When I first was able to play Genshin and was flying around with the gliders, I was astonished at how far gaming has come. My gaming experiences ended back when everything was just clicking a couple of buttons(on a console). Being able to walk around in an open world has sparked my interest to play games again~Picking up things, speaking to people, and fighting monsters was really fun! Being able to go play at your own pace made the game really easy to get into. Q: About Rosaria? ( 1:30 ) Being a sister usually means you are prim and proper with a delicate style and belongings so I assumed Sister Rosaria would be the same way before I read the script/character details. But, as I started reading, I began to notice Rosaria's "I don't want to do anything" attitude (Literal translation) When I got the script book it was about this thick, Rosaria's voice lines were about this much 🤏 I was flipping through pages and pages wondering when Rosaria's voice lines would show up and when I finally found them I realized how little she actually spoke. The explanation for her lack of lines is her personality. Rosaria is the type of person who is very quick to jump to conclusions about other people even without speaking to them and no matter what they say, she isn't able to change her opinion about them which gives her a sort of "クール"(クール means "cool" but in Japan, the term is used more for being attractive, stylish, and having a poised attitude) personality. I guess she is "クール" but not necessarily cold towards other people. She does have a part of her that cares about others. This my perception of her. Q: Was there any change in your impression of her after the recording sessions? ( 2:40 ) My first impression was that Rosaria is super "クール" and her attitude is something like: "I don't feel like trying" "Ugh I don't want to do this" "When can I leave already" "Why do I have to do this" but I soon realized that even though her conversations and interactions with other characters are cold, her subsequent actions are usually to help them so her intentions are always kind-hearted. and then I was like: "Oh, so she actually is kawaii!"( 3:12 ) Rosaria is almost like a soothsayer, she's always a step ahead of other characters. Rosaria's coolness and intuition always make me wonder how she acts, and what her personality is like when she is at her own house. What do you guys think? (to the viewers) You guys built up this cutesy recording set even though I'm Rosaria's VA? Maybe this is a hint of Rosaria's hidden personality? I feel like there has to be a gap between how Rosaria acts in public vs at home. I hope that as the story goes on and we can see more. She changed, in my eyes, into a character that is multifaceted and really interesting. Q: How are you and Rosaria similar (4:00) I find many things bothersome and when I do, I lose all will to put any effort into them. Sometimes I have a cold side. I jump to my own conclusions. But Rosaria has the strength to always act this way all the time unlike me. I can't be too much like that since the part of me that cares about how other people perceive me doesn't allow me to be as extreme as Rosaria. "Ugh I don't want to do this, but I can't let the people around me down" is the type of person I am, while Rosaria is strong and confident enough to not worry about other people which is a big difference between us. She is just so poised and her way of being secretly involved in situations that she acted like she didn't care about behind the scenes is "Kakoii"! I'm jealous of how there's more to her than what can be seen, she's mysterious. I'm jealous how she always seems like she is indifferent and uninterested, but actually, she is 10 steps ahead. So jealous, life is unfair I guess.... and her body... so unfair... even when she is just walking around it makes you want to watch her... so unfair... why can't that be me. ( 5:10 ) Q: What characters other than Rosaria are you interested in? (5:30) When I first heard about Genshin from Yūki Aoi(Lumine VA) she told me she was the main character( "main character" 😬 lol) of this new game. At that time the game was still not out and she told me that it was about picking up crabs. That really stuck with me and I started playing the game with that in mind. In the opening scene where we chose the main characters, of course, I chose Ao-chan(Lumine/Yūki Aoi) but I didn't realize that Horiel(Aether/Shun Horie) would meet such a terrible fate as a result. "Hi!, How are you Horiel?" I'm so worried about him. Kaeya is another character I am interested in. He's the character I play the most. He is so easy to use. I always wondered what relationship he has with Rosaria after seeing the scene with them drinking in the bar. Also Amber. I wish Rosaria had a familiar that followed her around like "Usagi Hakushaku" it would be fun! The contrast between her personality would be so cute. At first, you think she's cool and collected BUT SHE ISNT! She has a friend that has stumpy legs and follows her around and talks to her. Oops, I ended up talking about Rosaria again. I really wish I could see a scene of Rosaria with a cute friend. Would that be ok? Who wouldn't want to see that? Even if it's only in a dream sequence or something! Staff, please make that happen it's all I ask for. What else? Oh yes, to Barbara, I feel so bad that Rosaria is so cold to her. I really hope there is a scene where they make up. I am worried for barbaras mental well being Q: If you were in the world of Genshin Impact and you are going on a journey, what would you do? (7:59) I have always wanted to fly in real life it was so fun to be able to fly in Genshin. Although when I was flying I died so much I didn't know that fall damage was in the game at first. I died a lot. I felt the game lied to me, now I'm not confident in flying around since I know I can die so easily. I would probably just pick up items for eternity. Also wall climbing. I have never had much arm strength. When I was in elementary school I was never able to climb the climbing rope in gym class. I just wanna keep climbing with a triumphant look on my face. Hmm, there has to be more, I can't really think of other dreams that I have if I was in the Genshin world I'll get back to you when I think of them. Q: What's one last thing you want to tell the travelers? (9:00) Mhmm ok, well Rosaria she doesn't like using much energy, so please don't mess with her. Keep your distance! Also, I hope that the players enjoy playing her with her "Kakoii" fighting style. Seriously! My dear Rosaria is "Kawaii" I swear!! "Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!" Thanks for having me!

People think it's just a simple "ara ara" voice, but the VA went really deep into her character and all the nuances and hidden thoughts behind what little lines Rosaria has (the VA herself said she was surprised by how few the speaking lines were XD). This level of artistry and immersion into their role is why I love Japanese voice actors so much.
