Here's an analysis of the scythe: The weapon's damage is pretty great, but the main thing is durability. The fact that the blade is barely connected to the shaft means that a good hit from below is good enough to obliterate the blade. A scythe is made to behead; the angle of this one is a bit too low for the job, but it still looks sharp enough to rip the victim's body in half. The shaft is also too thin; if you want the blade to be uber-massive, the shaft has to gain size in response too. To summarise, the weapon's basically a one-hit obliterator that breaks immediately after use.
