I'm praying for a part 2. Si Cheng needs a love interest too. I've seen the actor in other dramas as the ML and l've fully enjoyed his characters in them. Not nearly as toxic as this ML, more like control freak or neurotic but still kind. My fingers are crossed. May Gao Jie get pregnant and go hormonal on Yu Zhi! He deserves that kind of punishment and redemption and hope we get to see it!

This is why you investigate and not lash out because you could ruin everything be it a relationship/friendship or business or reputation. He didn’t deserve to be forgiven. What he did went above and beyond cruel behavior to someone you supposedly love. No sane person with a decent self esteem would take someone who humiliated them like this. You’d have to be desperate and rather pathetic (or in a very ab8sive relationship or being forced by others to forgive based on culture or religion) or be a horribly written character. The writers insulted their audience with how they made the female lead go through so much time and time again only to very obviously will forgive one of the biggest jerks to ever be a main lead.

The spoiled and vicious Gao Hui met her match in the equally fearless Manager. GaoHui is so comfortable with her laurel that she is a great jewelry designer but her concepts are not realistic that it caused huge damage and compensation so the fearless Manager has no issue pointing it out to her. She just cannot accept it...her "go to" person when she is in trouble is Yuyi because he covers up for all her "gufaw" out of his love for her but the person she really likesis Yuzhi, who does not like her at all. Here then comes the equally vicious mother trying to cause more trouble to the woman who has been suffering for 20 years because of her. What a pair the mother and daughter make.

Gao hui and mother are both delusional and shameless without integrity and dignity....They can't accept being told that they are not the best in anything that they do or create and when they are critized or on the losing ends they will cheat, steal, lie, manupilate scheme, etc. They're not even scared of committing crimes...they must win at all costs. But now that Rui Hua is bought over by fansi, gao hui has no yu yi to help her cover all the mistakes made by her....also mother cannot interfere in the company because the GM is Mu Ziyun who can be just as ruthless and vengeful as mother and daughter to seek justice for Gao Jie, Pan Yue and grandpa Pan. They're her family. The mother and daughter never think long term. All they want at the moment they must get by all means. They never look at themselves in the mirror and also never think about the consequences of their evil actions and also don't have any remorse in their souls. Whereas Mu Ziyun has goodness in her heart to protect those she loves and are family to her. She only takes revenge on those who harm her and family. But she is grateful and appreciative to those who help her....that's my take on all the characters in the series...the good, the bad, and the ugly...

I really hate Gao Jie's aunt. She completely ruined his childhood, destroyed his faith in his family, and created a ton of hardships for him - and then has the nerve to act as if he has been persecuting her instead of being rightfully bitter and angry at her. I in no way approve of how he treated Gao Jie, but I can understand why he acted with such blind hatred. Everything concerning the aunt is automatically tainted for him and he could not get past his blinders. It does not excuse his actions or his behavior - nor does it deserve to be forgiven, but it does explain it. The fact that she then took every opportunity to stoke the hatred and mistrust between them is just disgusting. It is especially awful since she helped raise Gao Jie and was still perfectly willing to use and betray her like that.

All the hate he has toward the aunt should not only be directed at her. She is not innocent by any means, but it was not all her fault. This comes out a little later in the series. Also, how he humilated Gao Jie is not okay, even if he was upset. He should have investigaed everything, but chose to believe other people instead of talking to her, then flirt with the one person that Gao Jie is most insecure about, that was not okay either. Of course this is my opinion.

My blood boils how Gao Jie was made to be the whipping boy for anything that went wrong. Personally she should have been hired to work directly in the custom team to avoid Princess Hui Hui and she could have been sent to gather gems. Dear Lord, this lady is a certified gemologist and geologist. They couldn't find a use for those skills? At least there would have been less conflict and she could have spent more time with the elders learning their trades. Of course they gotta make the FL a damsel in distress but damn folks, why not tie her to some railroad tracks or put her in a traffic or plane accident if you want drama? She really didn't need to be dropped kicked to the gutter by Mr. Trust Me. Her gramps must be rolling in his grave as bf promised him he'd take care of them. I wouldn't trust him with a goldfish. Sheesh!

As for the Aunt... my primary disgust for her was her absolute willingness to destroy her surrogate child for her unjustified vengeance. It would have been bad enough doing it once, but she kept at it. The fact that his own family made him suffer for crap that literally had nothing to do with him is a whole other repugnant matter. Them making a child carry the repercussions for a grown-ass man's mistakes instead of making him take responsibility for his own actions is some vile, cowardly, shameful, enabling horseshit. Her doing it to her own grandson just makes it more revolting.

@@jenniferhuff4895 I agree with you. The aunt is not fully responsible. She was caught in the middle and so was Yu Zhi...the real culprit is the husband/father Guanghua..he's irresponsible. But grandma Lin has to take some blame too. She knew but just kept quiet about the whole incident which led to Yu Zhi being sent abroad at such a tender age and making Mu Ziyun the scapegoat. It's a blessing in disguise for YuZhi.....Mu Ziyun helped save the company from going bust while the only son of the Yu family played around ..grandma Lin knew all of these happenings and yet kept quiet. Yu yi also was lurking in the background to try to take control as he's the only other yu member working in the company apart from grandma Lin until Yu Zhi came back from overseas threatening yu yi's ambition...to me the Yu family is not a very nice family to be in. Mu Ziyun is considered an outsider as she's a daughter-in-law.....yu yi knew this and he instigated Yu Zhi (when he came back) against Ziyun....

As usual, I was really disappointed with how easily she forgave him. To me, it's a bigger issue than the hurt and humiliation. They were supposed to be getting married, and he didn't even have enough trust in her to go to her and ask. He assumed he knew everything based on things he never verified and ended things as painfully and publicly as possible. I get that he has issues, but he expected her to end things on his terms, and now he wants her to just forgive, forget, and restart on his terms.

More of the same. Tired of women being so evil against people they expect to be loyal to them. Maybe this girl is not totally innocent but why insult the girl's aunt/mother. This shouldn't happen in the workplace when reviewing/analyzing an employee's work for what should be constructive criticism, if anything. Moving on.

There is nothing innocent about Gao Hui and her mother is a plagiarizer. They are a totally foul pair. I really don't like the aunt, but I love it when she comes down on Gao Hui hard.

But Mu Ziyun handled her well...whether you like Mu Ziyun or not you'll understand why she did what she did....she did it just like a mother would do if your daughter had fallen I love with a man from a family that you know is not good to be in....

I think she did want to protect Gao jie and her Mom from the various scummy types ...she saw the way Yu Zhi treated her niece/daughter and who would want a beloved daughter to be on the receiving end of that type of behaviour. I didn't always like her but I could understand most of why she did what she did.

Mais sempre foi arrogante prepotente e incapazes, de construir algo de bom,sempre esteve debaixo da saia da vovó que sempre passava a mão em sua cabeça, e quis tirar vantagem do seu rival quanto este fez um grande projeto com a noiva que ele humilhou diante de todos..credo que casal mais sem graça esses dois ,,ela sempre com a cara de vítima se deixando oprimir por pessoas que só passava ela prá trás..e no final ficou com esse moleque..sim moleque sem caráter que sempre gostou de ser bajulado pela meia irmã de sua noiva..ele deveria mesmo ter terminado com essa meia irmã ordinária mentirosa e sem caráter..eles dois fariam uma boa dupla..🤣🤣🤣
