Very nice pan of gold. I loved to sluice and smoke weed down on the South Yuba, would set up a tent and spend weeks down there with my dogs. Privative camp area was nice and isolated so I could get nude and appreciate nature to it's fullest :)

You may not be able to get anything at Union Flat. However, there are other Campgrounds in the Downieville area that might still have space you can reserve (e.g. Rocky Rest, Fiddle Creek, or Carlton). I hope you can find somewhere good and that you and your girlfriend will be able to join us at the dig.

You can sluice legally in front of the Union Flat Campground. The upstream boundary of my Petey's Place mining claim is located about halfway through the Campground. The downstream boundary is just upstream from the creek on the far side of the river just before the bend. Sluice all you want down by the river on my claim. However, please do not dig within 30 feet of Caltrans' Hwy 49 embankment. Aloha
