I've pulled 33k in the banner and got decent weapons . All 3 debuffer elements , ice and earth damage , arctic silver and poison . Not bad . 😉 Love Yuffie. Is very funny to play with her . Buffing , debuffing ... Shoutout Nite! 😉

I think Yuffie is very solid a must for new players, but for vets who have been playing not exactly necessary yet. The poison and fire breach are really good plus the duration effect on buffs/debuffs. You're absolutely right about her she is definitely built for dungeon damage output like for rank dungeons. Pure dps she is great at, but survivability when you need to tank two dps and a healer normally works better mainly for very hard content like Bahamut ex 2 for an example.

Yeah, it will be very interesting to see if some higher built teams can eschew having to use a healer even moreso with Yuffie in the mix!

@@Nitelight9 I'm curious about this myself I was actually thinking the same thing. My Yuffie still needs work as well to make any good tests on her yet. Later on I'll probably run some tests to see how well she does, but I got a feeling it's very niche case scenario. For quick damage output I can definitely see her working great, but long fights I got a feeling she might not be able to hold up as well and cancel out a healer altogether.

Hey Nite! Been a MIA, due to real life stuff but we back. Hope you're well! I haven't watched your banner/PULL video yet, but yeah I think you made great points in this video! Because she is a new character she sort of needs to play catch up and I don't think that's enticing for us Vet players, but she is fantastic for new players! Obviously if you were looking forward to her (like me) then it doesn't matter either way, lol. You mention Yuffie fans have no reason to be disappointed. While I agree, I have to also say in the same breath, that I'm a tad disappointed in some things. For example I was a little disappointed that she is Physical focused instead of Magic focused, since I feel the game had a good amount of support weapons for Physical builds and less so for Magic builds. I also was just a smidge disappointed she had no AoE healing in her initial kit outside of her Clear Tranquil LB (which is a great LB, mind you) I say this mainly b/c I was looking to replace my Aerith with Yuffie, but that isn't happening anytime soon I guess, lol. But yeah outside of that I am happy with the emphasis on Debuffing/Buffing with Yuffie and she might have the best initial set of weapons to date! It's like Applibot is figuring out their own game, lol! I will say, while she is being propped up as the "Queen of Debuffs" I don't think she replaces anyone right now. I mean she literally is still missing some Premium debuffs like PDEF down (most important imo, given her Physical Attacking nature) MDEF and MATK down. She is more or less the "Queen" of Breaching right now though. I'm most excited for her to join my Lightning team, as I never used Red, so I finally have an actual Breacher, who will also Buff herself and Cloud too! My Lightning team is seeing STONKS with Yuffie. Last thing, I did some testing with Poison which I'll copy and paste my findings in another comment as this one is long enough, lol.

100% understand the real life stuff! Glad to have you back! And I was hoping to see some different things too, but I can't deny that she is solid. And I know what you mean about the AOE heal, but this game LOVES Aerith, so I doubt they ever want her to be replaced lol

As someone who went all in on her, I can say I like her a lot. I like to run her with her banner weapon with a breach weapon ( except ice cause I have Lucia for that ). Overall, she is very, very solid, and I have no regrets. Also, she is gonna be insane for Dungeon Ranking ( Arcanum Dps + Yuffie with said breach + healer ). Imo ofc

*ALERT* NERDY NUMBERS TALK *ALERT* Hey Nite! This is my second comment, but with regards to Poison... I have Yuffie's poison weapon and have done some fairly serious testing on it! The quick TL;DR is that poison damage seems to scale based on the enemies MAX HP (I guess that would be a given assumption but it helps to know for sure) So obviously it sucks against small trash mobs and actually pretty decent to good (with investment) against bosses! Poison is def a status effect that gets better the more you're invested in Debuff/Buff duration, kind of like Elemental Potency or Boost Phsy/Mag Boosts! The more duration the Poison has, the longer you can go without recasting, thus increasing the value of those 4 ATB! It should be noted in my testing that it takes around 4.8 seconds between tick damage, I've test multiple times with a stop watch. Also another important thing to note (UNLESS I missed it at the very beginning of applying poison) it appears when you do the initial damage of doing "Venomstrike" (320% Non elem. damage, no overboost) and you apply poison to the target, it does NOT immediately do Poison damage... So it ends up something like... Venomstrike (320% damage) > 4.8 seconds > POISON DAMAGE > 4.8 seconds > POISON DAMAGE > 4.8 seconds > POISON DAMAGE > 4.8 seconds > POISON DAMAGE > 4.8 seconds... (the debuff wears off before the next tick on a 24 second timer So using Ifrit as a test subject (yes you can poison him, lol) Ifrit takes *3569 damage per tick* (I'm not sure if there are any other factors that can influence the poison damage) so if I have an OB10 Twin Viper which gives me 30 seconds and I have my Debuff duration up to 120% that would be 66 seconds of Poison duration on Ifrit, which totals to *12 ticks* (assuming 4.8 seconds a tick and no initial Poison damage upon application) for a grand total of *42,828* damage. For 4 ATB that ain't half bad, especially when you consider your own Stats don't seem to impact the damage at all. My initial impression is I think Poison would be amazing on Healers who aren't invested in damage b/c it seemingly gives them a nice contribution to damage without being super invested in. On Yuffie however, she seems to have damage options or other better buffing options, so I'm unsure if this weapon is worth over those. Just my 2 cents, thanks!✌

And I agree, this would be sooo good on a healer to help them get in dmg without having to sacrifice much in the healing dept. I hope they allow most bosses to be poisoned because it wouldn't be fun to have a mechanic that can't be used much. Great stuff bro! Thank you!

I think poison will not be broken. Maybe in rare cases. For f2p players, I still think Tifa and her debuff-focused weapons are more essential, because they aim to keep you alive.

Tend to agree with you on Tifa. I believe Yuffie will shine more in teams that are built up with higher DPS

Wind slash (lightning debuff) is particularly stronger than its predecessor. IE If you already have investment in Lucia's Bald eagle (Ice Debuff), you may want to skip her (Yuffie's) Ice debuff (same for Sephiroths new fire sword) Lucia's gun also has a phsyical main stat and an ICe materia slot on it, Sephiroths fire sword, has a sigl boost, a fire materia slot, AND also decreases defense. Yuffie's versions of these are kind of inferior The Wind Slash however has a physical main stat (Red 13s Electric debuff COllar doesnt) and it has a lightning Materia slot meaning its probrably going to be stronger, especially with a good Thunder BLow Materia (Red 13 could still come out on top of this if he gets a direct lightning weapon and puts his collar as secondary weapon, but I wouldn't hold my breath) Somone who doesnt have Lucia's bald eagle however might still want to go for Yuffie's as she can then have ice debuff in one weapon slot, and ice physical attack in the other with her pure ice attack weapon

The only thing og players would need from yuffie is the ice weapon that has hp + Ice potency R abilities (first of its kind) I don’t see anything else that is a deal breaker for me.
