I just picked up a Nova 5T for my wife. The difference of $200 USD was the main reason. It takes good pictures & is packed with features. I have a P30 Pro, but the price difference between the 5T & the P30 Pro is about $400 USD. For the $$$... The Nova 5T is a great choice.

Not a major difference especially they share the same chipset. When using daylight photography, even on low-light and night mode it can still keep up with P30. Nova 5T is now 16k and P30 is 30k, for almost double the price i'll go for Nova 5T

Those 2 phone P30 and Nova 5T/Honor 20 are the last few Huawei phones that still have certified by Google which means still have Google Play preinstalled. For the current price as of August 6, 2020 in Hong Kong. P30 is about HK$2990 and Nova 5T HK$2040. Nova 5T absolutely a better deal. Nova 5T has Marco Lens, Front facing camera on the left size instead of in the teardrop in the middle. P30 has water and dust proof. 3.5mm headphone jack, AMOLED display., expandable memory card. I personally think the front camera on the left size is much better then in the centre of the screen. I don't mind without expandable storage when the phone has 128GB already. So for the cost of 1/3 more on P30. That I will get AMOLED display, 3.5MM jack and water proof. I don't think those features worth the HK$950. Nova 5T is obviously better value for the money.

I lost my Huawei P30... I'm watching this video to hopefully get away the sadness of losing such a perfect phone. I'm so depressed and hate me for being careless. I'm searching up whether the Huawei Nova 5T would be a good substitute for my 'now lost Huawei P30'. But I know it won't be the exact same. I miss my phone so much. I've had my Huawei P30 for almost a year and I can agree the battery life is just amazing. It can last me a whole day and a half the next day at school before it goes below 30% I mainly just use my phone for messaging and youtube but I do use it a lot. I love the camera as I'm someone who always likes to take photos of food and scenery so I use the front camera the most. I have used the dark mode as well and I agree with the video. It makes the night look better than my real eyes can see. It was honestly the perfect phone for me. If I had the money, I would totally buy the P30 again.

I can't believe this video...this is absolutely biased. 1. A flagship should not be compared to a midrange phone made by the same company 2. The Nova 5t has an LCD display as it is cheaper, not that it is better than the P30's OLED which is more premium for a reason 3. Comparring the benchmarks of the Nova 5t and P30, you did not take into account performance mode for the P30 as well, making this unfair, inaccurate and unreliable, although in terms of benchmarks, the P30 should still have the slight edge 4. Comparring photography, you mention that the P30's image is more flat and less saturated than the Nova 5t, rewinding back to that part again and i have no idea how you can say the P30 is less saturated and flat when it is more vibrant and punchy 5. The cameras on the P30 seem to be inadequately cleaned, thus producing hazy images 6. In my opinion, Night mode comparison should be done outdoors, reflection from the glass definitely affects the results for both phones I hope you can rethink about whether the Nova 5t is better, the P30 is not called a flagship for fun,and why the Nova 5t is called a midrange phone, a premium phone does offer premium specs. Having used both devuces, i can safely say that the P30 is worth the money as a smaller flagship sibling to the P30 Pro

what I like in my P30 is that it has 8gb of RAM, Leica Optics branding, support 422 ppi density and does have DOLBY ATMOS (for great sound experience) 😋 and I don't think Nova 5T had🤭😂

End of 2022 and I'm very hyped to get the Nova 5T for my mom as an upgrade (she currently has the P10 Lite, which is still okish; main issue is with the storage: 32gb). I have had the P30 for 3 years now and it's working great. The only bad thing about it is the fingerprint sensor. That in screen camera thingy is terrible. So glad that the Nova 5T has the side 'button' fingerprint sensor

Agreed...and I've seen their spec sheets...and p30 have a better Network speed, a headphone jack...a better charging speed, an OLED display...some splash protection...a telephoto camera which may come in handy in some situation(we never know right?)...came with 3.1 USB, and an option to expand your storage(not that I need it because 128GB might be enough)....so I'll take P30 anyday

Been waiting for this, I kinda regret buying a P30 when the Nova 5T was announced the day after I bought it but yeah P30 have some advantages like the OLED screen, better battery life and management, better night shots and zoom capabilities and a *headphone jack*. Nevertheless, 5T is a great go for someone who is needing a powerful, great cameras and design ,yet have a lower price tag, smartphone. It may have some downside but it can compete to be the new midrange king. Thanks for this comparison @Yugatech!

I'm sorry but this was suchhhhhh a biased review against the p30. He didn't talk about how the OLED screen is wayyyy better than any LCD screen(till now I'm still amazed by the screen since I moved from my Samsung a9 (2016), which was also an AMOLED, in May. Also, he deliberately left out the benchmarks on the performance mode of the p30, and he obviously didn't talk about the currently unbeatable night mode on the p series. I'm sorry, the night mode on the p30 is still way ahead of the nova 5t. I'm a big huawei fan and I'm a user of the p30, but this toooo biased. I'm sorry man, I usually like this channel but this was blatantly biased.

My younger sister has the Nova 5T, and I'm envious that the game I'm playing (which uses hard graphics) performs well and very smooth than my S9 Plus' Exynos chipset. I'm planning to go for Kirin chipset now. No wonder why Google banned this powerful chipset. 🙂🤔 PS. This is just my opinion only. I know we're in the Philippines, where everyone is perfect. Just saw this video right now. Well, P30 user ako for almost a year now. Compare both with 8gb ram version. This oled display, headphone jack, compact size, great camera upto 30x zoom, inscreen fingerprint scanner...Too obvious your siding with nova 5t.😂 At the end of the day, you can really see the difference am telling you. Hi to Huawei users. 😊 And btw, P30 now is only 26,990.

Lol. P30 has 8gb of ram. The ome that has 6gb of ram is the lite version. And it's current price is just 29k+. Photos produced by these phone are seems has swapped in this video. 5t is behind p30 when it comes to camera.
