Facts tho yubel fiendsmith as a deck just now hit its competitive prime. hitting it now with a lot of great shifter decks coming down the pipeline the deck will struggle. Now the pure build holds up a lot more in terms of shifter

True. Phantom to 1 is the hit that needs to happen. No restriction on how many times it can be summoned per turn is crazy and Yubel chews through 2 on their opening turn pretty consistently.

I understand that the OCG hits stuff to 1 in snake eyes but i think that is just totally incorrect and they should hit flamberge since its literally a power crept block dragon. Snake eyes could be a cool side engine for the sinfoil spoils lore decks without flamberge. Hitting Wanted hurts all of the other diabellstar lore decks which havent shown to be as broken yet

These hits to Snake-Eye literally won't do anything - these are the same hits the OCG and as soon as the Azamina stuff was printed snake eye jumped right back up to Tier 0. Also Wanted has already been confirmed to be in the tins so that won't be hit, the hit HAS to be a ban on either Flamberge or something like OSS, possibly coupled with limits to other cards, or nothing changes.

Tins are typically for cards released in the previous year. Protos if it does get reprinted is likely in Bonanza or a set like crossover breakers imo

People need to think about what happens after the banlist. If you limit these snake eye cards you’re just making room for the Azamina cards when we get to ROTA. Then they can still play 15-21 hand traps while having the full snake eye engine, fiendsmith and Azamina now too. No single banlist is going to fix the game. Konami printing these broken ass cards with 3 effects per card is the problem and the game is only going to get to a worse state because of it

In my own opinion... Protos can stay. It's only really used in Swordsoul because they don't need any garnets to make it work. And they've lost a lot of strength due to powercreep, even more so with the loss of Baronne last Banlist. Even with Protos, Swordsoul isn't as strong as the rest of the Meta. Other than that I agree with your choices

There is no later broski, snake eye has been good for too long. The only situation where that’s at all a good hit is if you draw the 1 poplar in a deck that already plays over 40

My biggest issue with banning bonfire is that its a consistancy card for 'pyro' cards not 'snake-eyes'. Therefore hitting bonfire hits every other pyro deck WAY harder then hitting snake eyes which already has cards that can search easily. Volcanic, ashened and lavals are the only pure pyro archetypes with centur-ion trudea being the only other pyro people care about searching. If bonfire gets put to 2 fair enough but 1 just feels like every pyro player whos been waiting for support for YEARS just gets curb stomped for 1 singular deck and doesnt actually hit snake eyes as hard as people would like it too. If konami made more pyro archetypes i'd understand people wanting it limited right now? Snake eyes is the issue not pyros what other support to pyro players have? Oil?! It doesn't work in ashened! I dunno every other typing has insane support and pyro gets 1 good card since the typings inception and it gets limited to 1 due to 1 outlier. Feels bad......

I'm not usually one for erratas but I'd be all for Curious getting one to specifically requiring 3 Lightsworn monsters with different types if it meant it could come off the banlist. It's only degenerate due to it being so generic. If its splashability was removed, it would just be another Lightsworn card (and only in archetype link monster).

Based on the OCG, I can confidently say Snake-Eyes is still the best deck under this list. Konami either needs to outright ban some cards from the archetype or it will continue to be the best deck of the format.

I think the correct hit that wouldn't kill Snake-Eyes is ban Ash and limit Original. Banning Ash severs the link between it, Populus, and Flamberge and limiting Original still allows people to use it in other fire decks without it being used to replace part of Snake-Eyes lost consistency. I would like for them to ban Apallousa since its been the broken face of combo decks for to long and Snake-Eyes have proved that even if you don't have Baronne Apallousa isn't OK in any way shape or form. In my opinion they should be hitting cards like Apallousa first and taking away engine pieces last but they didn't do it with Manaddium or other combo decks so what are the odds that they will do the right thing this time. This won't kill Snake-Eyes but will force them to fill the deck with more cards limiting room for non-engine and force you to to normal summon Oak or special summon it with Original. Also banning Zealantis would be a great hit to Snake-Eyes that would allow you to survive long enough to beat them. I would pity Marincess and Salamangreat but if these hits happen they are already good enough for the time being and its selfish to kill a deck just because someone out there wants to keep their broken cards that maybe work in 1 or 2 decks that actually deserve it.

I swear if all we get is little consistency hits Im done, I get there after money but at somepoint when all the non snake eye players quit they will start to loose money, or not make as much its had its time, last banlist did nothing but take away generic cards allowing rogue decks a chance to compete. I also don't think protos is doing enough to warrant being banned one list after it was unbanned, I think the only deck abusing it is ritual beast and the deck I feel it belongs in is swordsoul, which hasn't had a single top in 2 formats now. I love this game because of the huge amount of different stratergies and decks which can end up winning with enough skill, thought out deck building and some luck but recently everything is snake eyes snake eyes snake eyes and its just not fun, I like checking results and seeing which deck won and how many rouge decks topped rant over

Armageddon knight to 3?! Semi limit it at best. Sending ANY dark monster from deck to grave can be game changing so having 3 senders would be too good. 2 senders keeps it open to hand traps and negation while also making sure your not going to be seeing it constantly and using that effect too much

I saw a post, i believe on zodiac, of a guy with a full calendar for august with the dates for the reveals of the 3 archetypes in crossover breakers, the date reveal of supreme darkness and the banlist on aug 26. Today the last card for apodrakosis was revealed as said in the image i have and its been accurate until now so i am VERY confident on aug 26 the banlist dropping. Its monday so people have time to cook before the following weekend

Only correct hit for Snake Eyes is banning Flamberge. I’d be okay with an oak ban and then maybe one more consistency hit. Side note, I think they will bring back Electrumite this list or next. They are printing another max c like card, and they have more pendulum support being printed they will want to sell. Spicy take is that I also think Kitkalos can come back to 1 if they ban Beatrice.

That's not even the issue I've had going against DW. Them summoning the Grapha fusion and having neko mane king in hand to instantly end your turn is brutal. Neko is pretty easily searched with all the draw power they have combined with TGU and Sangan. Either that or EEV to nuke the spells in your hand.

Im not big on spirit gates as a yubel main. I prefer to see nightmare throne. If spirit gates goes to 1 then ill switch and go beckoning to 3. No impact on my overall strategy.

While I can see where you are coming from when talking about Azamina, they are more of a deck that involves Diabellestar etc. Snake-Eyes as a Deck really needs to be watered down as (imo) it's too much of a dominant force and clearly a deck that's making players not want to partake in duels at local tournaments.

I do not think your aproach to snakes is gonna happen, because I think you do not understand, that Konami TCG does things a lot differently than Konami OCG. The TCG usually goes about slaughtering Really good (or Tier 0 Decks), rather than slowely hitting it until it finally dies after like 2 years. (Just look at Tearlements or Superheavy Samurai)

i wish konami just did their job to begin with instead and properly do some locking at the snake-eyes and the engines following them (fiendsmith are same shit... azamina now seem similar..) so that flamberge wouldn't have to be banned.. it's not the first time that it happens and it won't be the last.. that's the problem and at some point no banlist can fix those issues... Also why everyone is talking about calamity (which yes it's a stupid card) but it's Crimson dragon the one that allows all those lvl12 synchro monsters to just get cheated out and do their rediculous effects? it's exactly the same thing as sanctifire and puppet lock... those lvl12s had their restrictions for a reason, to be played in certain decks, then crimson comes and they are just like that used in every proper synchro deck.. what deck can even make calamity without crimson? archfiend only? maybe 1 more in whole yugioh? crimson dragon is just as much of a problem with cheating out anything and counting it as a synchro summon..

Nibiru needs banned or Konami should give every deck a monster negate that doesn't fall pray to the same issue that Toad in lv.4 water decks and Dragoon in White Woods through Muddy Mudragon does. Not having a consistent chance to stop a card that can unfairly rob you of victory and make decks like White Woods unable to summon their main boss monster. While also making people rely only on hand traps is wrong. They either need to ban Nibiru or accept that. One massive Nibiru token was good years ago when it being removed by a effect didn't always lead you to being OTKed. Nowadays even if it was multiple 0/0 tokens forced to be special summoned in defense mode it be infinitely better and for the receiver and less likely to finish them.

This is an ass list. The Azamina cards would replace every single limit you’ve put on the deck. The only remotely interesting limit you could do is Poplar because it turns it into a garnet. Flamberge absolutely needs to be banned because the Azamina cards provide an additional omni and set up your SE combo without using your normal summon. Azamina could be a cool standalone deck, but it’s time for SE to get rotated out of the format. Protoss is also a random ban. Ritual Beast isn’t a particularly good deck and the only reason it’s seeing play currently is because of Shifter, which is a card that should’ve been banned over a year ago.

I mean calamity is overrated. Centurion is actually stronger in the ocg without calamity. There is just no real reason to ban it (at least right now) Same with protoss. It's really only a thing for ritual beasts. The shifter tho - that's a problem. Shifter should get banned 100%.
