He used the continuous spell "Infinite Cards" early on, which removes the need to discard down to 6 cards at the end of his turn. If Yubel had a way to remove that card from the field (and not back into Yugi's hand, where he could just play it again), then Yugi would need to discard down to 6 at the end of his next turn.

Not entirely true. If a monster has 1600 Attack points, and I use Wall of Disruption, decreasing it's attack by 2400, yes, it would be set to 0, but, since 1600 - 2400 is -800, a spell card that adds 800 attack to the monster won't do anything, as 800 + -800 is 0. However, even in the negatives, it is set as 0. -800 is just there for calculation later. Yes, I did test this.

Slifer's ability reduces -2000 atk to every monster but the other effect, slifer automaticly destroys monster which has lower than 2000 atk thats why veiz said "why yubel cant be destroyed by slifer's effect"

Because Slifer drestroying effect only work when the atk of the nonster was been reduced to 0 by this effect, but yubels original atk is 0 no have points to reduce and for this is why silifer cant destroy of yubel The only form effect slifers works on yubel if this monster gains atk pts beacuse an a equip card, field card or any other effect before slifer has been invoqued to the field.

Also another tip about yubel; the ultimate nightmare form cannot destroy monsters with 0 atk with its effect. Hence being because it has to inflict its atk to the opponent *before* it can destroy the monster.
