Game one why book vagus instead of synchro materials?

Im the zombie player on the right, I havent checked comments til now so I guess I can explain. My hand was sort of grindy and I had double book of life so the thought was to cut off the vayus instead and let one synchro go through and hopefully my hand can deal with it. obviously it didnt work in hindsight since oppression is just nuts lol

Big mistake banishing the plague in main phase 2, you put yourself in a situation with no follow up, a hand of master and mezuki that couldn't generate any power plays because of the missing tuner. If your main phase 1 push fails, book of life the goblin and set mirror, you can try again when you can use your battle phase. Also master can only revive lv4 or lower zombies so you can't get hades back with it, irrelevant in this case because you had mezuki but still.

Thanks for the insight! I just picked up the deck when this video was shot so I wasn't familiar with the ins and outs, definitely a fun deck though
