It is an amazing game, but yeah with amazing games comes fuck up like these, which is pretty big because they made ritual extremely shitty. The game was in 1999/2001 I think, so oh well, still amazing game :P

Speaking of which, the following Ritual cards needs to be fused in order to obtain: Gate Guardian Ritual: Magical Labyrinth + Metalmorph *Javelin Beetle Pact: Power of Kaishin + Forest Ultimate Dragon Ritual: Dragon Treasure + Megamorph * One of the monsters needed for the ritual, Hercules Beetle, requires 999,999 Starchips in order to get; it cannot be acquired from fusion and nobody drops it. This makes Javelin Beetle a virtually unobtainable card. Dark Magic Ritual and all other Ritual monsters save for Millennium Shield and Yamadron are impossible to own physical copies of, with or without the ridiculous price gouge of 999,999 Starchips. Speaking of which, there are 39 duelists in the game, and that divides up perfectly with the number 999,999 Starchips. So in total, you would exactly roughly 25,641 Starchips per duelist. That pretty much equates to 5,128.2 S-ranks (Pow or Tec) per duelist in order to get to the magic number of 999,999 Starchips. You get that many, then use the 3-memory card trick in order to obtain 698 cards out total. Just win the Meteor Black Dragon card from the Meadow Mage, and this should be your final statistic in the game: Physical Copies: 699 cards/722 Transparent Cards: 21/722 Total Cards collected: 720/722 And all that requires a hell of a ton of dedication to this game in order to obtain all of these.

They may be completely useless, but all the weird fusions are what makes me love the game so much, despite how little sense most of them make. For instance, you'd think Fiend's Mirror would be an obvious fusion of a mirror + fiend, but nope, that's Summoned Skull.

If you look at the context of the rituals is actually pretty funny because for Tri-Horned Dragon you need horned monsters (like Torike) and B. Dragon Jungle King to ritual summon, Battle Steer which acts as the meat and Griggle that is basically the salad to ritual summon Hungry Burger or Kanikabuto (crab) and Catapult Turtle to ritual summon Crab Turtle. Very interesting.

Should give you the card permanently after you do it - say, consumes the ritual and the three cards permanently - but the card it summons you get now - and you get to keep it. Even some of the really shitty rituals would make sense then, and it'd all be pretty hype

I kinda want some of the unreleased Ritual Monsters to the actual cardgame and stuff like Gate Guardian Ritual, Ultimate Dragon etc to turn into support cards to get the respective boys out quicker with far less restriction. Perhaps Gate Guardian Ritual could let you tribute Gate Guardian Materials from the hand and deck and give it some much needed protection? Yamadron Ritual could be a spell that gets out any level 5 normal Dragon, Pyro or Beast Warrior monster from anywhere, and gets some kind of bonus when summoning Yamadron with it.

it seems like for all the trouble rituals are worth, if they could've bumped all these monsters up by 1000 points each, then they'd all might actually be worth the effort of getting the ritual to work. So get Chakra to 3450/3500, Dokurorider to 2900 ATK, Sengenjin to 3750, and yes, gate guardian to 4750 & blue eyes ultimate dragon to 5500. biggest key would be to make sure that no one, not even the AI would have access to ritual monsters unless they have the card.

Yeah, Yamadron is pretty bad for a monster that requires you to bring out and then sacrifice 3 monsters to play, and I would even argue it's worse in Duelists of the Roses. Why? Because they gave it an effect in that game to turn the terrain into normal terrain spaces, which isn't very useful since that's the only terrain in the whole game that does literally nothing

The only useful and worth ritual is the ultimate dragon, besides you have or not the ritual card, you still have three cards with 3000 atk. Much better then have 3 weak monsters for one "strong" ritual.

It's like that in duelists of the roses, too, unfortunately. Having said that, and what bugs me more is 2 things in particular: 1) They all need 3 specific cards to play, and no other combination of monsters will work (from what I've been able to find out online, anyways) and 2) Most of the time, the game will only hint at which monsters are needed rather than tell you outright, and some don't even do that, just instead opting to say something to the effect of "ceremony to summon, sacrifice required". Basically, it requires too much guess work to figure out how to play them, and I'd imagine that it was probably for these reasons specifically why they changed it in DotR to tell you what cards you actually need to use.

You need to fuse dragon treasure + megamorph for ultimate blue eyes ritual while you can just equip it to your blue eyes white dragon and get the same amount of atk. Smh

I mean, buffing a twin-headed thunder dragon with mountain, dragon treasure, megamorph and any other equip card worth the trouble than summoning a 1800 atk ritual monster

The only ritual I like and easier to perform is Cosmo Queen's Prayer. Don't have any queen? Make one by fusing female card with plant card three times, use forest and some trap so it will last longer, and boom 2900 atk ritual monster. But keeping a card alive with 1800 atk in the mid-game (especially against the mages) is almost impossible

A única coisa chata nesse jogo é o fato de você só poder setar uma carta por turno, independente de ser mágica, armadilha ou monstro. Monstro é sempre um, mas mágicas e armadilhas não. Inclusive, você pode usar a carta mágica direto da mão, por exemplo a polimelização. Nem precisa ter nenhum monstro em campo, desde que tenha todas na mão. Mas nesse jogo não. Vc tem que ir setando carta por carta nesse processo demorado e enfadonho kkkkkk e torcendo pro cara não destruir. Mas é um excelente jogo. Zerei pela segunda vez essa semana, depois de quase 20 anos.

I never understood the use of Ritual cards minus a handful like Zera, Crab Turtle, and Cosmo Queen for BEGINNER players. But to take the time to summon a monster that's 2000 ATK? Not worth it. Ritual cards need to have MUCH stronger ATK and Effects to make them worth the time and effort.
