This is actually very impressive. I'm a complete beginner in Master Duel and this guide really help me to understand how the Endymion worked (what monster summon to prioritize, when to pendulum summon). I've seen a lot of other videos regarding Endymion (replay, deck profile), but yours is the most concise and beginner-friendly. The replay also helped (I never see the interaction at 31:36 happened in any other videos that I've watched). Thanks for the amazing work!

It's probably because spell counters is a complicated archetype, and they don't want to make a video guide as long as mine. For me, the length is necessary. You can't truly explain this archetype in 10 minutes. If you sat someone down to explain it, it would take about as long as the video. Glad you loved it though! Be sure to show this to other Endymion users or beginners you may come across!

@@lordvectra7821 yeah, the spell counter is one of the most unintuitive mechanic I've encounter so far. From all of the combo deck I've built (vw, magician pendulum), I felt struggle to pulled off this deck's combo. It might be because of the unoptimized built (only 1 upstart goblin), but I doubt it will change my bad play. For sure, hope to see an in-depth guide like this for a different deck in the future!

OMG! Thanks a lot for the guide and the explanation of the JKs and Cerberus combo. I just had that hand once but as I was inexperienced using the deck and thought the only thing I could do was special summon Cerberus to not be completely obliterated during the next turn. Plus I had some other cards in the deck I didn't really need and that wasn't helping me at all. I'm looking forward to your next videos. Keep up the good work!

No worries, everyone is learning! I used to think the exact same thing since Electrumite is banned in TCG. as the combo I gave isn't even possible in the TCG. Took me some time playing with Electrumite to be like "Oh, I can do this." Part of the reason why I'm never going back to TCG lol. Thanks for the uplift. It’s also a spell. I replaced Power of the Guardians with it periodically. Super Poly: I do plan to actually add in Super Poly. What you replace is preference. I highly discourage Endymion users to tech Kaijus. Just save the URs for this. Spell book of Wisdom: I did not think about this when I made this video but this WILL counter Dark Ruler No More and CAN counter Forbidden Droplet. With that being said, it might be beneficial to run this instead of Power of the Guardians which is not bad considering Wisdom is an R so not difficult to craft. I did mention it bypasses things like Skill Drain, but the fact it also counters Droplet and Dark Ruler No More while also countering the trap floodgates makes it probably more versatile than Power of the Guardians. TLDR try Wisdom instead of Power of the Guardians Gravity Controller: I did not know this card existed until now. I will tech one of these in. if you have no monster in the extra monster zone, you can put Absolute there and link it into this using only Absolute as material. Would replace 1 Triple Burst Dragon. I also added to the deck Harmonizing Magician and Performapal Skullcrobat Clown for the Borreload Synchro and also for some of the Xyz monsters I have on the Xyz festival version. Edit: I picked this two because when pendulum summon Harmonizing, I can special Skullcrobat Clown from the deck, and by normal summoning Skullcrobat Clown I can add Harmonizing to hand and then pendulum summon her

I have other synchros on the extra deck, some of them Odd Eyes, but I don't want to add to much unnecessary information. And I have to participate on the event because a free-to-play player like me can't pass up a chance of getting gems and tickets

id say running curtain raiser is worth it, for the allure of darkness target, also for the higher scale at least it can summon jackal

@@NeostormXLMAX I am not a fan of Allure of Darkness in this deck, and I will still have to disagree. Being a target for Allure and a “high” scale does not make it good enough. Curtain Raiser fits more of an Aggro-variant, and yes, I have tried Curtain Raiser myself, and I am not a fan of it, especially since his first effect is a once per DUEL making any additional copies you draw of him thereafter significantly weaker. To elaborate: Allure of Darkness banishes a dark monster from your hand or banishes your whole hand if you don't have a dark monster. I'm not going to run Allure in case I draw both Allure and Raiser as I'm not going to want to banish any of my other dark targets. Being a scale of 7 does not make it good enough just to be able to Pendulum summon Jackal King. Kendo serves you better in that department and can always make himself leave the field. After you use Raiser’s Pendulum effect the first turn, he essentially becomes a normal monster with no other benefit, and “being an extra body you can Pend summon later” (not that you said this but others have) is not good enough since that can be said about most pendulum monsters in a deck that has scales ranging from, at most, 2 to 9 (if you use Kendo). I even tried it with Allure of Darkness, but he is not worth it in mid-range. He is more suited in Aggro-variant where that variant doesn’t care of Raiser’s value dropping after its first use. In Mid-Range, which is what I play, you want cards that maintain value throughout the duel and don’t substantially drop after your first-turn because his Pendulum effect only works if you control no monsters, and if you are finding you have no monsters on your field after some turns have passed, something has seriously went wrong. You want cards that can help you get to a winning position, keep you there, and get you back there if you happen to lose the upper hand. Raiser can arguably get you there, but does not keep you there nor do anything to help you get back there because he becomes a vanilla with a not-so-good scale that can’t leave the field unless you pop it some other way (assuming you’ve used the effect earlier), and all of that can’t be balanced out with “It’s an Allure of Darkness target” because now you’re just running Fodder, and running fodder for another specific card is clumsy. Some cards help like Chicken Game, but you'll be perfectly fine without it. Some cards like Curtain Raiser is not compatible with certain Endymion playstyles. Example, the first-turn variant of Endymion is much more expensive, but it's not objectively better than the mid-range variant I run.

@@lordvectra7821 Ty. I have a couple of questions: 1) I searched for a variety of Endymion's decks and most of them are limited to 40 cards. I know that drawing engines mathematically don't affect the chance to buy a specific card, since you can just use them and buy more. Then, if this deck benefits itself from spell counters, why does the majority of deck lists use just 40 cards? 2) About "Chicken Game". Do you recommend to self destroy it using "Endymion, the Mighty Master of Magic" or some other way to prevent the opponent to benefit himself from buying? 3) What about C-Maxx and Ash blossom? 4) I have never heard about "Dark Ruler No More" in this kind of deck. Is it ok to forget it? 5) What do you think about the power of Endymion's deck without using any card of the Extra deck (I mean the link, xyz, fusion and syncro ones)? 6) Can I make my own Endymion's deck list and would you help me with some tips of playing style or changing something? @@TvRedHunter 1) a lot of those have trouble climbing and gets dry on spell counters at times. I have tried them, and imo, they aren't as good. People take the 40 card rule as bible so they don't go above 40 even if they would benefit from it. All Platinum ONE Endymion decks I've seen, thus far, have had more than 40. I've seen 44, 48, 50, etc. 2) you can use Mythical Beast Garuda, Electrumite, or Endymion to pop it. I sometimes save it for later. Just because you can activate something doesn't mean you NEED to. 3) youll brick with Ash. I am unsure how good Maxx C is for Endymion. 4) Without it, its going to be harder for you in Platinum going second. I cant say more from what Ive already said. If you want to bank a lot going turn 1, then sure, don't use it. If you want to see why you should use it, I'd recommend my Platinum 2 video. 5) Use Selene and Electrumite at least. If you mean Endy with no extra deck, you're nerfing your deck for no reason since you need links to pendulum summon from the Extra Deck. Otherwise, you can only summon one. 6) my combo videos and compilations help with the playstyle part. I can give tips on deck-build, yes

Chance of first one happening: 0.0023448% Chance of second happening: 0.0000355% This is assuming you're running a 40 card deck, so if you run 52 like me, it's significantly more rare. I did have one duel I banished all my Jackal Kings, but still won.

@@lordvectra7821 i know, im unlucky as fuck, for example when i was playing labrynth, my opponent literally opened with harpies feather duster, 4 out of 10 games, and 2 of the times they were using 60 card decks, the chance of that happening were really small. same with opening evenly matched up top of duster, turn 1, in 60 card deck.

I suggest BLS Link, really good if you run any monster level 7 or above. Can get to quite high attack and a banish effect

Requiring 3 monsters with different names is actually pretty steep since you can't link climb to it. If you can sac 3, it's better in majority of cases to go into Accesscode and Apollo since Electrumite will probably be one of those monsters you're sac'ing.

Is there a way out of the Jackal King/Master Cerberus hand without Electrumite? I'm wondering what my play would be in that situation with TCG banlist

No. All you can do is activate Cerb for baby Jackal. NS baby jackal. Activate 1 JK to SS Cerb. Place Magister and your other JK as you should have enough SC to then use baby jackal to SS another JK and pass with 1 Cerb and 1 JK. Even if you link off, you can only summon 2 JKs and you won't have enough SCs to sustain the negates at that point. Cerb at least as destruction immunity. TCG Endymion is bad. Servant at 1, Electrumite banned, Upstart at 1, Chicken game banned, Into the Void at 1, etc etc. TCG Endymions will never have the same flexibility as OCG Endymions in the current banlists.

Ty. I've been trying to make a TCG Endymion deck, and your guide is very helpful even with the differences in banlist. Not really aiming for something especially good, but just functional so I can play with friends. I haven't played Yugioh much since the Zexal era though, so learning how to use it is a whole different beast.

I was looking for some explanation as I jus start playing this beauty of a deck. I personally play the spell book variant. You mention honorable raisons as to why you don’t. But I’m personally interested in playing a massive board of negates rather than giving my opponent more than 1 turn. I’m a wrong to say that with your variant you have less of a big board ? As you said in another video, you found it in my extended guide, but I will answer that last part of your comment. The big boards are there, but are not as consistently big. The upside is if your board is broken, you have a follow-up. I have been Forbidden Dropletted and still won at the end. That is pretty much impossible in the aggro version of Endymions. It was a battle against Ancient Warriors which can be seen here ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3fOXmuKqNChbdk ). Aggro variant also has issues with Maxx C as stated in my Extended guide because if they do get pass your negates (which maxx C helps with and is a very popular card), aggro enters the territory of instantly losing because they can't remake their board because aggro or aggro-leaning decks typically can't since you sacrifice everything for the first turn. Both variants are fine. Both have seen tournament play though the years and each have seen success.

YuGiOh is a complex game and Endymion is an unorthodox complex deck, so I try to reply quickly when I can. I understand the comfort zone situation. That is why I don't play Endymion/Sky Striker. I did play Aggro Endymion and showed duels with it in my deck-build guide, but other than that, I don't run Aggro Endymion. I have an Endymion deck-build guide on my channel that goes in-depth on why 40 card mindset is inaccurate. It also goes over ways you, for yourself, can decide when too much is too much for your specific deck.

Issue is Spellcaster support doesn't really support lv 8 and above. They, for the most part, outside of very few circumstances, only support level 7s. Example, until that new Xyz Spellcaster was announced, we had no Xyz Spellcaster that was higher than rk7. Fusions are the only ones where they aren't level 7 but levels on fusions are also somewhat arbitrary.

What Chicken Game version? There are many versions that use Chicken Game. I can tell you, however, that if it's the one with Curtain Raiser, spellbook engine, Into the Void, etc, that's a REALLY expensive version. In the description, I state this is a much cheaper version since you can almost complete it with just the Endymion secret pack. I won't go into further detail until you clarify what you mean by "Chicken Game version" so I'm not wasting time typing all of this lol.

Thanks for the criticism however... 1) Its near 48min video long. It'll be hard to listen to anyone talk for almost 48min. 48min with no music makes that considerably harder. 2) Video is already published. There is no way for me to remove the music without having to re-upload which I also can't do because, for some reason, my video-making software isn't allowing me to properly edit this video specifically. Now, what I will do for future guides is lower the volume a good amount since I was told recently that the volume was a little too loud.
