Sadly I'm still lost with chains... 😅 I have issues with working out what players can chain to me as I feel people rush in with a combo and don't actually ask any response. So idk I feel players have to ask any response after they play a card. I mean... I remember the days people used to say Summon Priority. Its changed a lot since I started on day one. Lol.

Ash can only be used if chained directly to the effect you’re attempting to negate. If the opponent (or your own mandatory trigger effect) “chain blocks” the effect to send/search/summon from deck, you will not be able to chain ash (unless that 2nd effect on the chain involves any of Ash’s trigger criteria). It doesn’t exactly “miss timing” because you simply won’t be able to activate Ash in the first place.
