Lurries nice and all but fiendsmith comes with a token producing card. Couldnt we just run that instead of adding one more brick?

Lurrie it's a soft brick, in the sense that if you draw it and have any starter, you just search for the fiendsmith. Any combo has ways to discard a card. But it is needed for now at least, there is no in engine alternative.

isn't there a combo which involves Varudras? Just curious. Anyway the deck is nuts, but I think there are some problems going 2nd as much as engine is considered.

I mean the engine is great going second, just read a yubel card 😂. Also some players opt to run going second cards instead of hand traps in this deck because of the yubel cards otk potential

Is there a reason why are 1 chaos summoning beast and 2 dark beckoning beasts played instead of 3 dark beckoning beasts?

It is better to open with Opening than to do it with dark beckoning because it dies to less handtraps. You already have... 3 Throne + 1 Terra + 3 Lotus + 3 Opening + 2 Dark Beckoning +3 fiendsmith + 1 tractus***. You don't need the third one, you got a lot of starters. ***Tractus can start a combo but it's not the best endboard. It is a decent endboard, tho.

@@jecaballeror yeah but in that case why not just remove the chaos summoning beast altogether. it just seems to be a brick by itself

@@proamatuerbecause it is needed. Dark beckoning beast cannot add itself, you need a summonable target to make openind a one card combo. You prefer Opening because they can't imperm/veiler/mourner the add, and dark beckoning getting ashed still let's you do your second normal summon. You want to have the around the same number because Opening add is mandatory to activate (say, if you start with dark beckoning and get drolled, you can't activate Opening of the spirit gates). So, 3 Opening 2 dark beckoning 1 chaos is 5 one card combos to 1 "soft" brick. If you draw it, Opening adds dark beckoning and it then adds another Opening. Then, you have to play almiraj to try to make a combo from it, and a space i n the extra is premium real state. Chaos summoning could be used to make phantom of yubel too.
