My favorite part of Valon's deck is the fact that if any of his cards get printed I can tape them to my body during a real life duel and punch my opponent in their face as a completely legitimate strategy.

Shadow's Wrath aside for the one time Joey did against him, Valon is the only one in the entire series including the spin-offs with this kind of deck. Makes him more unique in comparison to other duelists.

The biggest interesting thing I find about this guy is how much he contrasts his season's arch-rival, Joey. It sum it all up, he's what Joey would've turned out to be had he did not have an adorable little sister to die for and Yugi Muto had not entered his life. Sure he had Tristan as a buddy, but those two were essentially washed up street thugs with no real future to look forward to until Yugi stood up for them. Like what pointed out in the abridged series, Valon isn't really defined by his past: he just hates people yet has no real malice to taking people's souls, he just wants a good fight because like with Joey, he solves most of his problems with his fists. As in the dub too, he points out to Mai that all the loneliness, even for loners, really isn't all that fun after a while.

I respect valon on some levels because despite his upbringing he made a way for himself he may not always see things way other people do but he stands his ground and his own reasons for dueling,as far his jealousy towards joey because mai choose joey over him woman have complicated emotions never loose you're self because of the affection of woman there's someone out there for everyone if you look hard enough.

If the Armor Archetype ever got printed, I would like the whole suit to be 1 card similar to the Meklord Emperors in 5Ds.
