These videos are nothing short of amazing. I've judged quite a number of YCS and Nationals, and I wish players had combination of the rulings knowledge, dueling talent, and pure entertainment value of the duelists portrayed in these videos.

Not only is this channel a great learning tool for the game, but it subversively touches on so many important aspects of the game such as famous yugitubers and net-deckers, all while using a very unique approach to it (let's face it, if it were drawn like a cartoon, or filmed with real people, a lot less people would watch it, this is very entertaining.) That duel was great! Both of them brought their A-game and it shows! The duel was so intense, and it looked as if Onomonopia was gonna lose for sure. But then a well-timed Effect Veiler, coupled with a kick-ass BLS finisher sealed her a win. Hot damn! If only the official Yugioh show was this exciting.

Chimera's effect says: "The original ATK and DEF of this card each become 800 x the number of Fusion Material Monsters used for its Fusion Summon." That effect is negated, therefore chimera's attack stays at 0. The next turn, chimera's attack doesn't become 10400, because it never became 10400 in the first place. It still gets the 13 attacks per turn though, because that is a continuous effect.

it's because he gets his atk from his effect. the effect only determines the atk when the monster is summoned. if the effect is negated, the monster goes to zero. chimeratech atk won't return to the number it had when it was summoned as its effect only gives its atk when its summoned

apparently with rulings effect veiler isnt til the end phase. and second chimeratec overdragon says "this cards original attack is 800x the number of fusion materials to summon it." which means at the time it was summoned, it wasnt resummoned so it stays at 0.

Hey though I don't play competitively anymore I'd still like a ruling on something. So my opponent has a card named Cyber Eletin (LV.10 0 ATK/ 0 DEF banish all light attribute machine type monsters from your field and graveyard. When this card is summoned destroy all of your opponents monsters) and he special summons it, but right before he activates the effect, I dropped an effect veiler from my hand, so my question is, would effect veiler go off first and negate Eletin's effect if I did that?

It's one of those strange rulings. Once negated, chimeratech overdragon "forgets" how many materials were used to summon him, so he doesn't get his attack back, it's similar to how naturia bamboo shoot loses his effect permanently if it gets negated once.

No, if stuff like Skill Drain, effect vieler etc hits it then it will lose its ATK even after the effect goes away. Same with book of moon if it flips it down but its flipped back up again.
