Hi Zephyr, a couple of tips by someone who is also testimg deck: 1) I strongly suggest a heavier Unchained package, at least some Aruhas to search off of Yama instead of searching Shiyama which does nothing from the hand 2) Yama can add from the GY, not only from the deck, this is very useful if you're under droll or if you want to recycle Sharvara in hand (useful to have a dodge during opp turn, to have a discard fodder or to have an extender if you summoned Sharvara from deck and didn't use the summoning from hand effect 3) Remember that Muckracker cannot be used as a link material the turn she is summoned, you cannot link it into Rage as you were suggesting here, it's important to remember that because it's a big downside in Unchained and often is better to go into other options Thank you for showing test hands and combos for this deck, it's realky hard to navigate but it's definitely my favourite of the format

Hand 1: - (@1:35) Always remember to SET with Spirit so you can cheat 1 more search under Droll. I totally agree with your line THEN using Prosp to guarantee yourself a bit of engine first. - (@7:35) Muck can't be used as Link material during that turn. - Since you don't have Lotus in rotation, keeping OG Yubel on the field is really bad and instead, you should attempt to end on Ultimate (no downside like tribute or destroy the field). To do that you pop Yubel with Shyama, then CL1 Yama CL2 Yubel, summon Terror by Yubel, revive Sharvara by Yama and finally pop Terror that will not miss timing and keep Muck on the field. This allows you to keep the trap for some recovery as well, although it has very limited uses (you need to survive, resummon Shyama with its effect, go for 2nd yama, get back Sharvara, Sharvara pop the set to get back Shyama that went to the bottom of the deck OR revive a body and don't go through the loops). - About the choice of Prosp, if you want to keep BOTH handtraps, you have to give up on the Unchained line (personally I would pick Sharvara as well) and get the Super Poly. Yubel will remove itself from the field, but you can set both Super Poly and Favorite, then use Favorite as CL2+ whenever you want on the opponent's turn and get a search via summoning Spirit and get your free discard + enable Super Poly for Eternal that way (keeping Favorite as much as possible on the field helps immensely in the grind). REMINDER that if you use Favorite to revive as CL1 you can't activate Spirit's effect.

Hand 2: - (@12:15) If you get Drolled on Pain search for Lotus, Spirit can still set so you only lose Prosp but with Poly already in your hand you have good follow-up and a guaranteed Super Poly + Monster negate (+ super poly from Favorite if needed). - (@12:55) Samsara mentions OG Yubel so you get a counter for that as well. - (@14:30) I completely agree on going for Escape instead of Chamber, chances are you will either pop it for Caesar or not have Rage in GY. Chamber has late-game value but the deck needs as many disruptions as possible to stand up against FIRE decks. - (@15:20) Since you have Chamber set, it would be better to pop Rage, and get back Sharvara (avoids the annoying Flamberge effect of spellzoning OG Yubel + Super Poly discard) while Yama revives Yubel to allow the end phase effect of Lotus to give you a monster negate. That way you also set Eternal Favorite and get a search with Spirit on their turn for better follow-up and finally you tribute Shyama (goes to the bottom of the deck) because Muck gives some form of protection + if it survives it's great follow-up (can also turn into Anguish for link plays) - NOTE: you can actually target Shyama itself then pop the set Unchained S/T to resummon it from the deck and keep it in the GY for follow-up (+ removes the brick from the deck). - ALTERNATIVE: If this was Escape instead, you could just pop Chronicle (since you used the effect) to trigger Yama, then Yama revives Yubel and you tribute Shyama for her upkeep, ending your board with Rage + Yubel + Lotus + Escape + Muck. Keeping Muck is important here because you can target Rage with Escape and choose to protect it and Escape WILL RESOLVE SUCCESSFULLY (the "both" keyword failing to pop targets happens when Escape loses either target, and this is just a continuous-like substitution effect) while you keep your SP line live.

hand 1: he needs OG yubel on field for Eternal Favorite to super poly the board away. his line was right but instead of reborning OG yubel he needed to summon back spirit, Shyama GY effect pop Spirit summon itself, CL1 Yama CL 2 Spirit to summon back Sharvara and OG yubel and end on Caeser and OG yubel with a set eternal favorite and that's still very good against most fire decks.

@@Gilgamesh-em6ru It's easy to forget that about Eternal so nice catch, but could you leave timestamps or a "quote" on what specifically you answer to so it can be easier to notice/correct the error? I assume you talk about (@7:05) when you say to "instead of reborning OG yubel he needed to summon back spirit", but i don't know where it's the fusion eff of Favorite without using OG Yubel. I re-read my comment and my suggestions for [hand 1] were to use Eternal Favorite defensively for followup and not the Super Poly effect (that would end up discarding both Ash and Droll) A personal question. Would you like a 2nd Favorite, even as a side deck option for going first? I'll try it this week even in the main, i believe it's potential for followup is greatly underutilized and i found myself not using the fusion effect, unless it's my last interruption. We can use both effects on the same turn, provided we have 2 different copies (btw this was a needless nerf)

@@babrad yeah you guessed right on where I meant it. 7:05. For eternal favorite to even attempt to activate the Super poly effect you need to control OG Yubel. while the fusion effect only makes you use a "Yubel" Monster so while it doesn't need to use "Yubel" as a fusion material they need to be on board to use that effect. I still think that was the better play over grabbing Super poly and hoping 1 interruption is enough to stop the opponent when that won't stop the Fire king snake-eye build since kirin can force Super poly. I don't see the issue with running 2 at the moment with 1 in the side. I don't think the restriction of only using one of the 2 effects was a "needless nerf" it would have made the deck too unfair to play against since that card would be better than super poly since it's easier to search.

@@Gilgamesh-em6ru I know that about Eternal Favorite (learnt immediately the hard way). FKSE is the reason i considered grabbing Super poly and staying with Ash + Droll in hand, then using Eternal Favorite for followup (hopefully staying on the field, giving me the discard for Super Poly), because Droll is high impact (unlike VS the SE pure version) and Ash would stop an extension play. Super Poly can fuse away Spirit bypassing the downside of Eternal Favorite. That way Kirin won't get value (unlike vs an Imperm/Escape) while for them to use the pop effect under Droll/Ash they either need Crossout/CBTG or to open a heavy FK hand (which is unlikely with everything at 1 copy and Kirin at 3) Compared to the power level of Snake Eyes that got released on the very same set, i believe utilizing both effects would be fine specifically because it requires the OG Yubel and not any "Yubel" monster. I believe the same for Chronicle. Instead of getting counters for everything, it should have only got counters for "Yubel" monsters (as well as a limit to controlling only 1 Chronicle), but allow you to apply each effect once that turn (it would also balance the search of Super Poly a bit by not generating counters from Lotus/Squirmer/Golem)

In the second test hand, you missed a lot of counters on Mature Chronicle. It should’ve had 5 counters on it from how many times you summoned something that named Yubel. I think you also could’ve set Eternal Favorite, used it to revive a Spirit of Yubel, and use Spirit’s effect to search a card to discard for super poly.

if spirit of yubel is summoned with Eternal favorite with no chain links then spirit can't activate

I definitely think the deck needs a larger unchained engine to function before LEDE. It also helps the beckoning beast play just because otherwise if it gets impermed and you didn't open nightmare pain its game over

It makes sense, though yeah post LEDE, you can just play the lvl 6's and maybe aruha with the trap (you most of the time need your normal summon)

I'm a very new player and this is my first deck but i dont really know how to set up my board when not having yubel/spirit of yubel/samsara in my hand. The dark beckoning beast lets me get one gates but with it i cant really summon anything but more dark beckonings. if i tribute two beckonings to get one yama i can get a sharvara in my hand but thats about it. I'm probably missplaying the whole deck, since i have no clue what im doing but what do you do with just dark beckoning start or if your dark beckoning/samsara gets interrupted/negated? Especially when going second, i just sit there and get my ass kicked. For example: i get gates, ash, dark beckoning, impermanence, DD crow in my opening hand, i draw an Eternal favourite. My play is to set down imp, eternal, gates, activate gates to get a second dark beckoning in hand, summon 1 dark beckoning (gets sent to graveyard by ghost ogre). gates number 2 still gets added to my hand so i use the gates on board to discard gates in my hand to summon dark beckoning from GY. then i normal summon the second dark beckoning and go into yama to add sharvara and the turn is pretty much dead. Can you tell me what i need to do differently or is it just an unlucky draw? whenever yubel or spirit of yubel isnt in hand/GY/banished im pretty screwed so i thought about adding 2 more normal yubels for consistency but thats probably flawed thinking since i seem to be making mistakes.

In your example that's quite bad luck along side a HT that would rarely be considered as being played. I definatly wouldn't add more origonal yubel as it dosent really help you. Going 2nd your best card is super poly, amazing going first when you go through yubel combo etc and just as good going 2nd to breakboards. In a more common environment if we take your starting hand as an example. You'd be looking to go gates - dark bec - ultimately same combo as you say (but no one can really expect ogre) you would save your discard to revive until you get shyama in hand, get that to GY and then your pushing towards stuff like rage into SP. Sadly there isn't a direct line to go from just a Yubel starter into Dark bec and vise versa, currently you want to be opening a route to both. In most scenarios the play is to discard spirit off of gates to revive it to the field

@@zephyrwargamesyugioh I see, thanks for the help (and quick reply)! Im playing online matches so i am probably facing many non-meta/unexpected combos. One more question: if your samsara gets impermd, what do you do with it? try to use it as fodder for yama aswell?
