I really love Jack Atlas, he becomes his own person who cares about the people who were there for him when everything goes down. He decides to not be a Kaiba copycat anymore and be who he wants to be. Anime Jack nails it, Manga Jack was a bit overwhelming for me. But they were good in their own right.

I prefer Jack in the anime. The manga one seemed creepy/sadistic without the entire likeability or growth of the anime. I always think to Yami Bakura or something similar when I think of Jack in the manga. Although I do love his Hot Red Dragon Archfiend, as well as Abyss and Bane. I feel though like Jack in the manga is Anime Jack, had he never met Carly. Man I miss Carly, wish she stuck around longer.

Jack is one of my favorite characters, along with Kite. Really hope he's the next one you review. Also Jack in Arc V was amazing, and the duel with the Glad Beast guy, Jack had the most incredibly epic entrance ever!

Jack is easily one of my favorite rival characters in all of anime as a whole. His developement is handled splendidly, his relationship with Carly was very heartwrenching. He also has some pretty hilarious dialogue.

Actually, the dub VA did a fantastic job on the role he was assigned... It's just the role he was assigned was pretty lack luster in comparrison to his japanese role of being the King, in the dub, he's more of a standard jerk, but then later becomes nicer and much less obnoxious. This is further demonstrated in ARC-V, when he reappears as the ultimate king. In the Sub, he is much better portrayed and helps Yuya grow as a duelist, and provides some highly entertaining duels. In the dub, while I didn't watch it, it was very similar to his early 5Ds attitude, so it was a bit annoying, especially with the lines "There's nothing good about losing!" and that kind of killed his character in the dub a bit.

AYY glad this series is back! Loved Jack in the manga and how different he was, but the anime version of him is too iconic to not love even more. Both of his decks are pretty cool imo...for 5Ds decks.

Jack has SO MANY different personas! They all do have one thing in common: Red Dragon Archfiend, Rival, KING, and loves calling himself by name. Kinda sad Arc-V Jack was not mention but then again, he would have come third place. I also prefer Anime Jack as his persona changed and becomes stronger with pride and power to help his friends and surpass himself.

Yeah Jack Atlas was sure an interesting one. I do like suprisingly the arc v one is my favorite in personality wise and 5ds is a strong second. The manga was much more of a dick yep, but I guess he got possessed with power more because the duel dragons.

After the falling out I sat in a church pretending to a king I sat there for years, freaking years. Jack cares for Carly some what in later seasons after Dark Signers. But in his perspective there is nothing romantic on his mind. He just sees her as a friend. Jack cares more about his dueling passion than anything else. Carly is known to have bad luck. I understand he said he loved her in the Dark Signer Arc but like Yugioh Everything said, it was retconed out and in the time skip, they never get together and Jack just ignores her advances most of the time. Plus Yugioh Everything posted a video based on a controversial behind the scenes which is why Yoshita omitted the ship out of the canon. Also Yoshita did feel it was rushed as well. So two reasons than one.

I actually feel salty for Yusei vs Jack's first battle(Manga), the only reason why Yusei picked up the lost at the first game is because he chose to save Sector, other wise if he have activate his trap he would've won, but this is a huge character development for both.

I prefer Jack Atlas from the manga more, he felt more like a rival: he defeated yusei, defeated many more characters (including Aki and Bommer) and was feared as duelist and is consider a living legend (because he was the first one who won 10 consecutive championships), he tied with main villain, had one of the most powerful sense in the story, and his second rival was Kiryu, he had great backstory, he was much darker and more sinister and someone who I could call "King", while his anime counterpart was and will forever be in shadow of Yusei, after dark signers arc he was more like best friend (Joey) than rival.

I thought that Rex being Jack's father was canon in the manga instead of him just being adopted by him o.o I guess this 'sense' is similar to Aki's psychic powers? However, I don't know who from who took inspiration as I don't remember whether the anime or the manga was started firstX( I also like Jack from the anime as seeing his development and journey with everyone feels like a huge treat when comparing to his manga counterpart. If I remember (it's been really a long time since I've red the 5ds manga) I think every duel dragon had its own 'miasma' (whatever that meant, I never understood) but I imagined that it was like the dragons' energy/power/aura that if it was very strong it would overtake their owner and start controling them making them wish for more power and to win more. Was Jack also overtaken by his duel dragon's miasma? Maybe that would explain why he seems much more antagonistic compared to his anime counterpart?

I want you to do an analysis of Sect and other Manga onlys some time in the future. I have seen the animes but the Manga's... very little GX/5D's a little more Season1 and 0 mangas. collectively among those 3 I have read upwards of 40-60 chapters most of that not GX or 5D's. You know next to nothing; so you doing "unknown" characters that should have been in the anime and were not. Sect Jadens Mentor (original owner of red jacket that I think Tragodea kills) Fat dark skinned guardian that used Mudora from original. But also the reverse those in the anime that should have been in the manga and were not. Dartz Zone Yu girls and Yu boys (I assume they are not).
