Volodos and Fazil Say are not clowns, altough Say often try to rivals with the ridicolous faces of Lang Lang. Please do not mix chocolate with another brown cream of very different nature. Astanova began, when very very young, in an interesting way, as she had good masters (hear the video with Moments musicaux n.4 of Rachmaninov), ...in the prosecution tried to find the limit between piano music and lap dance, now... other two inches cutting her miniskirt and she'll be ready for OnlyFans...

True, but Yuja plays it even better than Volodos. And that's saying a lot considering Volodos is a phenomenal pianist.
@BilboBagless9 жыл бұрын
Vette gaddia I don't know about that. Certainly it's a matter of opinion but I feel like I hear more personality from Volodos. While Yuja's sounds faster and more played mechanically almost to mechanically. I just prefer the sound of Volodos that's all lol.
@frintonearnshaw9 жыл бұрын
AlmostEpic I think I agree about that, although he isn't necessarily delivering a live performance. His playing sounds a bit like he looks - even though he can do amazing delicacy there's always an underlying solidity which is quite distinctive. His only Achilles heel - if I can mix my metaphors - is his stomach! I sat on a stage seat in the RFH in London a few years ago when he was -playing Prokofiev 2 - and he does encounter a few - er - natural obstacles when he tries to cross his arms too far! With Yuja Wang I just can't understand where all the power is coming from.

You people saying negative things about this video, you're all wasting your time. I myself tamper with classical pieces and I can assure, we don't care when you tell us that Mozart or Chopin are rolling in their graves or that it's an abomination. We know the original piece is beautiful, and not a single modified version can beat the creativity and innovation the original piece has brought to music. The original piece isn't going anywhere. After we tamper with it, it'll still be there. We just do it for the sake of creativity and fun.

When she is on the piano bench, Yuja is pretty much there to play, not mess around. When she comes onstage to perform say a concerto with an orchestra, she just sits down usually takes one crank at the seat adjustment knobs and begins. If the piano is the first voice to be heard, the conductor had best not mess around with "Grand Manner," stuff on the podium, or she will be three staves down before the conductor can raise his hand.

For me...I am always respectful of Arrangers who have the skillful talent in creating wonderful rich harmonies and melodies as you can hear in this piece. Pianists who play well...sure...they deserve being mentioned too. However... it takes a special talent to be able create this crazy arrangement. If you were ask Yuja Wang to create another killer version of TURKISH MARCH that is on par with this version... I will be super surprised if she can. As far as I know... i have never heard her create any arrangement. all she does is play every single note in the score....created/written by someone else, not her.

Asian girls are always adorable to play Turkish March. Yuja Wang, Alua Makanova 'Ulytau'. Çok harika.

Se cansa uno de escuchar una pieza que parece obligatoria en todas las escuelas de música para cualquier instrumento. Esto es una lluvia refrescante! Ah, y los puritanos de cuatro lados os podéis ir a la mierda.

The change at 2:07 to the outro is excellent, even the coy walk out with thankful smile is good. Who doesn’t like blue jeans and a black short sleeved top? 🦋
