Yuji Nishida (西田 有志, Nishida Yūji, born 30 January 2000) is a Japanese left-handed volleyball player. Currently Nishida plays for Panasonic Panthers at club level.
Nishida made his debut with JTEKT Stings at V.League on 6 January 2018 in a match against Osaka Blazers Sakai. His impressive debut at the young age of 17 soon earned him a position in JTEKT's Starting 6,[5] as well as Japan men's national volleyball team. Nishida led the national team to seventh place at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, its best result in 29 years.
The Japan men's national volleyball team (Japanese: 男子バレーボール日本代表) represents Japan in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Japan Volleyball Association.
Their nickname is "RYUJIN NIPPON (龍神 NIPPON)", meaning "Japanese Dragon God" or "Dragon God of Japan" in Japanese.

Set 2 was crazy. One of the Serbians stepped under Nishida's foot! Everyone thought he was injured. Ishikawa/Blain argued with the referee for a good 5 minutes. The japanese team was PISSED. They went on to crush on the 2nd and it felt so damn good watching that moment. I jumped out of my seat several times.

Yeah. Part of the Serbian player's foot come in Japan's court and Yuji accidentally step on it when he land. He stayed on the floor for a while after that. Luckily, he seems okay. Yuki looks so pissed. His serve and spike after that is scary.

nishida actually stepped on his foot lol and the argument was bc apparently they requested a video challenge for the serbian setter overstepping midline and not the attacker which is what was shown first

Yuji did great at this tournament (best score in 3 matches and the best server in Pool B), still have Miya is better than Yuji comments at yesterday’s match highlighted on KZbin, haters are everywhere. I just replied but one ppl gave me a thumbs down🤣 I don't know why they like to leave the comments to alienate them. I'm Yuji’s fan, but I never badmouth Miya, because I love Yuji, then I love all Ryujjn Nippon teammates.

Same comment with exact same wordings I’ve seen in many post. This turning point was: Miya blocked but touch out, Yuji dig the ball, then Miya spike. If Yuji couldn’t dig the out ball, can't get the point and Miya couldn’t spike. I like both OP, but I hate ppl always write this comments since VNL. Yuji was MVP and high score in this Match. Volleyball is a team sports, everyone is important, also everypoint is turning point.

Yuji did extremely powerful exhibition against Serbia last night. So much for a great comeback since VNL season. But Yuki and Ran delivers extraordinarily with their reception and attack points. YuYuRan, these three are lethal when they perform really well on court. However, lets not forget the relentless and superb contribution of Sekita, Yamamoto, Onodera, Miyaura, Kai and ofcourse the team’s lucky charm, kentaro. ☺️ All the best Team Japan! Lets go Nippon 🥂
