I understand the critique and I completely agree, however, troll or not, you read their pronouns on their bio yet decided to treat them as a she/her for the vast entirety of the video. Again, I don't care wether it is a troll or not, you still knowingly ignored pronouns and used the ones you deemed appropiate.

On their twitter it said their pronouns were they/them and she/her, and I used both in the video like a dingus instead of just using they/them. I dropped the ball on that one unfortunately

It’s like they are saying plus sized women that are black with flat chests can’t be sexualized??
@galacticrainestorm8546
@galacticrainestorm8546 4 жыл бұрын
Ikr? It's stupid. It's basically implying that heavier black women with smaller chests aren't pretty enough to be sexualized. I don't think real people should be sexualized unless theyre an adult and theyve consented to it in some way but come on. Especially since they're fixing asian characters. Anime is originated in Japan and that's usually the location the stories take place in. Making white characters black or a person of color sometimes if they're from a show without a lot of poc representation is fine in my opinion, especially if you're a black or person of color artist, but not only is it kind of racist towards asian people when these people 'fix' all anime characters but it's also saying that they aren't good enough of a character unless they're a black woman and plus sized with smaller chests. I have a lot of ocs who are people of color and a couple who are chubby or fat, and I love all of them because I've created them and I enjoy making character designs., Drawing a lot of characters who are poc is fine but taking every white and skinny character you see and turning them black and plus sized is like saying "Oh, these people are white and skinny, therefore fatphobic and racist, I gotta fix that." It's ridiculous. Although racism against people of color is much more of a big issue than racism against white people, it still does work both ways. I fully support the increase in POC representation because I think everyone deserves acceptance regardless of their race or appearance. But what they're doing is different. I don't know if I'm allowed to speak in this situation since I'm white but what Vee is doing is definitely not right.

It's funny that there's a parallel to that with the Uzaki-chan thing, because a bunch of real women came forward during that whole kerfuffle to cosplay the character with their apparently "unrealistic" real life proportions that were basically a match. It was like some part of Twitter declared war on the "shortstacks," and they fired back with the, uh, big guns? That joke was dumb but I remain unrepentant on having made it.

About the drawing made by Creepshow Art ( 6:40 ) That was art of a real person. Zeena "fixed" a real person, it seems like they didn't know but maybe Zeena should've done atleast a little bit of research before "fixing" a character.... or she should just- not fix them? My other opinions: The one of Momo Yaoyorozu from MHA was also kinda stupid Momo's power is Create, a superpower that allows her to create anything apart from living and edible things from her body, (someone in the series compared her power to pooping because the more Momo eats the more she can create). So Momo's hero costume shows a lot of skin so that she can easily work with her power.. if Zeena would've done some research on Momo they would understand why she's showing that much skin. And the Tsuyu Asui drawing (the one Zeena called Asai), Tsuyu's superpower is Frog, she can basically do whatever a frog can. Tsuyu has a long tongue and strong legs that allow her to cross far distances like a frog. If Tsu had a few extra pounds then she would have a lot of trouble using her power since she would have to deal with a lot more weight. And the Ochako Uraraka drawing... her power is Zero Gravity, a power that allows her to basically make herself, other people and objects ignore the laws of gravity, causing them to float. This time it doesn't have much to do with her power but more her situation in the series. Ochako is kinda broke and she sleeps to get rid of hunger, and that is why she is so skinny in the series, making her fatter wouldn't make any sense. (She wants to be a hero to get money for her and her family, and i almost cried for her ._.) AND all the MHA characters mentioned are Japanese, so it also makes *a bit* less sense to give them a darker skintone, (i am not saying dark skinned Japanese people dont exist at all) although it can be interesting to see how a story would go down if a character from lets say.. Japan was in America, and how different countries effect the original stories. But nope, Zeena called it fixing so that's automatically a big no for me. In my opinion, theres nothing wrong with being a little fatter than the rest, but when fatter than the rest turns into fat, turns into the unhealthy "I can't get up by myself, i can't fit in my own car" fat then maybe you should do something about it. Give me hate about my opinions all you want! :D

I'm really tired of "fixing" art. I always see people do this to a character named Sakura Ogami. Some people try to say, oh it's before she started working out! It's not wrong! But they literally change her skin color from dark to the palest white, and then give her a skinny curvy body, when if you look up a real picture of her she looks NOTHING like that. PLEASE JUST DRAW HER AS HER OWN SKIN COLOR. WILL HER BODY SHAPE AND STOP SAYING SHE " LOOKS BETTER" SKINNY! SHE'S BUFF GET OVER IT!

Here's my take: I usaully ignore this stuff cause Ive adopted the mindset of 'if I dont like it, and if it truly has no affect on me, then I do not care. When people say that someones art is too sexy I just think that they dont realize that anyone can find anything sexy and when they try too not sexualize women by: making them plus sized, flat chested, dark skinned, or hairy your basically saying they cant be found attractive (or atleast how I see it) When someone makes a character i usaully think that their making the character as a dream version of them, something that resembles them in a way, or that their using the backstory and setting of their character. If the design doesnt really matter to the plot then the designer can have free range. Ive realized that when I make a character they mainly look like me a bit sprinkled with some features i wish I had, so I try to think of their interests, backstory and some times where they live and their geneology. And i put time and effort in that which is why I find it a bit upsetting when someone tries to undo that work an artist did. I get that you think the design could have a diffrent spin but no one knows the character better than the designer. And my final thing, I get people want to create diversity like no problem but it really does nothing when you take a pre existing character and make a whole lot of modifications. I get that some people want to be represented but I prefer you have diversity becuase you want to rather than you need to. But I am willing to see other's point of views, feel free to give your take, Im always willing to change my mind😄.

I just realized something............,since there so capable of performing these "Fixes" why don't they just draw their own versions of it or completely different from the person's original......like you said if they feel as tho there's not ENOUGH diversity then what's stopping them from fixing that by creating and adding on to overcome the lack of diversity....why go the extra mile,if you don't like it move on and create your own visionary piece .......but don't go acting all like some major art professor and tear down another person's piece of work...that's just garbage.....

I blame the whole "turning characters into a different race sexuality etc" thing on the fact American culture especially is so reliant on the past. some of the most popular characters have been around for almost a century, and most industries are so creatively bankrupt the most creative thing they can think of is a postmodern take on a really old franchise that's been poked and proddeded for decades. From that lens, I can understand why people would want to uh... "Blackwash" characters to get more representation. But on the other hand, it speaks what is in my opinion, a much bigger problem in entertainment, which is causing many of thewe issues to arise. also I understand where people are coming from when talking about specific "sexualized characters". Like the generic big boobed waifu bait or the loli girl that barely covers the legal line. Just because something is art doesn't mean it can't be pandering, propaganda is art too, after all. And in these specific cases, it feels more like pandering to degenerates rather than making something genuinely meaningful. Even then, you shouldn't try to "fix" it. Because by doing that, not only do you disrespect the artist and the idea of subjectivity, you scrub all over a piece of history with crayon.

I'm going to say this now: *it is impossible to fix another persons art* Art is presented in so many forms, and the artist will choose how they want it to appear. Fixing the art you have made is self-improvement. But a third party attempting to change it as a whole? They only wish to alter another persons hard work because it doesn't fit their own criteria. It's so selfish. Like, if you don't like someone's art, then sit down, leave them tf alone, and make your own - It's not Zee's, or ANYONE ELSE'S place to judge how someone draws, sexually or not. 🤚🙄

Heck, I've seen attempts at trolling that turned into legit stuff - one of those attempts grew into a massive fandom, by the way. The bottom line is - these days, even if something looks like a troll, smells like a troll and sounds like a troll... it may still not be a troll. What infuriates me more is that as a My Hero fan, Zee just completely ignores the context behind Asui(Frog girl), Yaoyorozu(Black ponytail), and Uraraka(Pink brunette) and this is goes for other art fixers. They just ignore the lore and artistic intent behind certain designs in persuit their version of a morally right design Long ramble ahead but this has honestly irked me for a while Asui has the powers and appearance of a frog, thats why her hands and feet are so big, and if you look at a frog thats jumping, you can see that they're naturally thin, so it makes sense that Asui is also thin Yaoyorozu can make objects out of the lipids(fat) in her body. So as long as she keeps using her quirk(her power), which she has to since she literally attends a school that trains heroes and has ambitions to become one, she's literally incapable of becoming fat Uraraka's quirk, that being able to make objects immune to gravity, doesn't really relate to her body type. But you have to remember that she has a distictly round face, so she's not perfectly thin. And plus, she along with Asui and Yaoyorozu are young, active teenagers who, again, attend a school that trains heroes. Yes you can be fat and still be active and healthy, theres even a kid in the same school also training to be a hero who's fat, but it doesn't make sense to make everyone fat just because And lastly, these characters are JAPANESE and the story takes place in JAPAN. Japan is a very homogenous country and much of the population are naturally light-skinned and thin. Yes there are exeptions but thats just how they naturally look like. And the few characters who aren't Japanese are usually American, like the Shields and Pony TL;DR: I already dislike art fixers who think they're the moral saviour of art, but I hate it when they blatantly ignore the context behind certain character designs just cuz they don't like them for being white, thin, and 'sexualized' I may have gone on to defend My Hero, but my point is that its important to learn about these contexts before casting full judgement. Sure you still may not like the character even after learning about these, and thats fine, but going out of your way to be an obnoxious brat about it and claiming your 'fixed' design is way better than the original is just not good Troll or not, Zee did an injustice to the My Hero ladies as well as characters from other anime and purpetuated an already bad problem in the art community (Also the Creepshow comission one that ones just horrible I can't-)

Firstly, I want to say Zee just isn’t good at art. They can’t draw legs, they wrongly colored dark skin (i once saw one of her “fixes” with literally GREEN skin for a human), they blackwashed characters of different races - which you would think isn’t a thing, but it’s very common in anti-Asian behaviors - and they “desexualized” these characters by making them obese and pear-shaped with a lot of body hair and different faces. They completely redesign characters in their “image,” which I honestly think at this point is some weird shit done by a white or light-skinned person who just converted to Islam and uses the religion as an aesthetic and fashion. I do not condone behavior that disrespects religions like what they have done. It just seems like they’re an aggressive, sex-repulsed asexual and they take it out by destroying popular characters to make themself feel better for being supposedly large. Luckily, they’re no longer posting this shit to twitter.

13:20 Yeah, exactly!! Cause just because YOU don't like the characters that are thiccer or more "sexualized" doesn't mean there are no people out there who do like those character designs. And no, we're not all "gross old men" who like the sexy female designs or even the modest female designs who just have voluptuous features. Like, having big boobs/hips is not inherently sexual and I really really hate that there are people out there who like to act like it is.

Hey! A tip for CSP, if you draw the lineart on a vector layer, it speeds up the process when erasing overlapping lines! Theres a short tutorial CSP posted on their channel.

Even if someone is bad at drawing/making OCs, don't fix it. Instead redesign it or redraw it, that's the right way to do it. Fixing sounds entitled (if that's the right word). My friend made a character that I wanna draw but the clothing is too neon for me? Maybe redesign it with less neons. I made a character a few years back that I really liked but its low quality? Maybe redraw it with higher quality! Fixing implies that it's better than the original. The only chance of it maybe being better than the original is if the original artist thinks it's better and decides to change the original character to your redesign.

The way you draw is unique! I would trace it and then outline it, but you outline a bit and then like put some color! I love it!
