I like how everyone assumes its the CHINESE GOVERNMENT, where as if you google age rating for games, Honkai is rated T12+ in the west. It is literally summarised as: "Content is generally suitable for ages 13 and up. May contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling and/or infrequennt use of strong language." Any non-explicit sexual content is rated for 17+ and explicit sexual content is 18+. They can only get away with being 'suggestive' and oh boy are they suggestive. Its not really the rating system or the governments, Mihoyo simply cant sell a game rated T and not dilute a lot of their intended themes. Notice how in any of the death we had, there may be traumatising scenes but no blood (Himeko burns out, Fu hua's silouette getting shot, etc) and notice how even Kalpas rarely swears. It is designed this way to be marketable.

@@eiarsan I think a lot of the simulated gambling controversy dates back to the original Pokemon games where you could play slots to earn chips that can be used to exchange for pokemon which dates back to 1996. It was probably decided back then a little simulated gambling is okay, I don't think it's for gacha.

In terms of a "kiss scene" check out the western censorship in regards to age ratings, like the Vtuber said in the video, "Screw you 12+ rating"

@@Brkncntrllr nope I think it's great got butterflies in my stomach playing this whole scene, but I got to be honest it's cheesy, you know that kind of cheesy you often see when your friend and their girl/boyfriend is hanging out with you and you're there just watching the whole scene unfold, they just casually flirt with one another but don't do much more because you're there watching
