I think this was as far as i reached back in the day. It's a strange feeling seeing all these patterns after like 20+ years. I can predict the next movement but only like 2 seconds before. It's like listening to an album you haven't heard in 20 years. Much love!

It’s so hard to remember lower grade patterns especially in lock down. I’ve just practised Yul Gok; went into Do SAN at the end , but overall happy with patterns, and my side kicks are strong if not stronger than before. Sam (1st Kup)...May would have been my black belt grading had it not been for Cov I’d pandemic. TAEKWON!

If you are just a Gup ranked student, no worries if you forgot a pattern, However, if you are an instructor, then, more is expected of you ? You can't forget the patterns, if you claim to teach. You have to rehearse the moves, covid 19 or not, if not for me, then, for your own personal pride ? Taekwon ! Thanks, Mr. Suska, for doing the patterns, right, and being a good role model for other instructors?

I am learning this for my grading in February currently on green/blue aiming for blue belt I find this one easier than Won-Hyo wich is the pattern before this one, but I have a question about after I do the snap-kick, middle-block and double-punch at the start the part after that when you hold out your hand take it back and hold your other hand out and punch after you do that twice do you punch or immediately go on one leg and side-kick or is there no punch?
@pablobarrile3908
@pablobarrile3908 8 жыл бұрын
Do you punch after that as you can see at 00:29 and then go on one leg and side kick... Regards from Argentina.

This is a hooking palm block, and then another one by the other hand and a punch on a connecting motion. The connecting motion is when you do one sine wave, two movements and one breath at the end of the second move. The palm hooking block is performed like an outward block by the outer forearm and then the palm hooks to grab the arm of your attacker.

Genuine question, not a criticism, but I notice Master Suska and some other high level ITF practitioners seem to bob their heads at times. Is this an effect of the sine wave or is it some kind of optical illusion from them raising their shoulders?

The first punch is actually done to measure...and the next two punches are then to attack the imaginary person. So remember, first attack in sequence is to measure, the rest are attacks

I was taught in my dojang that after the double sudo block, slap down an incoming attack with the front hand and then counter with the spear finger with the rear hand. You, however, skip to the spear finger. Anything to say about that?

@@Adamsworld. I never said one was better than the other, however ITF teaches many useless techniques. The guy in this video is not executing his techniques at a black belt level. Remember this is the same sport, so I know how to do everything this guy is doing, I can tell he doesn’t have great control and technique and that is something I find common with ITF schools
