Hi in German backpacks there is a place for their lunchbox so she doesn’t carry one. But the bentgo stainless is similar size to yumbox presto and they have quite a lot of bags. Hope that helps. 💕

How did this hold up over time? Does it leak after being in the dishwasher a few times?

So far we have no problems with it yet. I only make sure that the silicone liners are hand washed.

Hi Catalina, weight wise is the plastic better. It’s lightweight and easy to clean. I would say depending on the kids age. Bigger kids can carry more weight. Other than that we are very happy with the two variants. Hope that helps. 👍🏼

Watery soups aren’t advisable, it may leak but creamy soup with a Joghurt like consistency may work. The box isn’t microwaveable so the soup gets cold by lunch.
