She sympathizes with Marina because she remembers how hard it it is to go after and achieve your dreams. Moral of the story is to persevere, friendos! Don't give up.

Alternate Reality of off the Hook. Pearl was a falling star and confident inkling and Marina was a mystery and frightful octoling. It so interesting. I think this is a great vid and it totally Off the Hook.

I relate with Marina SO much here. Not the exact situation of course, but just the feelings. Social anxiety, or just general anxiety, fear of messing up, failure, and little to no confidence in myself. Sometimes I wish I could be as robust and reckless as Pearl in this comic.. I sometimes wonder if life would be any better if I wasn't so affected by other people, or if I didnt have any kind of anxiety or constant second guessing. I wonder if everything in my life happened for a reason..

Always be optimistic bud, it'll help a lot, trust me.

this is a very good comic and, if I get to know this before the octo expansion I will wish this to be Canon. it represents really well all of the characteristics that we know of off the hook in that time. but, I love much more the Canon story. Pearl is a very lovable character she really cares for his friends and it's going to protect them until the very end. I just love how this two ended up support each other to the point where they become best friends

They didn't like Pearl as much as Marina because they thought she was just this rude and, though I hate saying this, "ugly." Looking at Marina, she had some unique things about her. At first glance, she's really pretty, I say in a way that won't make me look like a pervert, she's smart, and the most unique thing about her, until the Octo Expansion, she was the only octoling in Inkopolis (and no, I'm not including the octolings you fight in hero mode). As for Splatfest, I'm letting that fate come to whose team I'd be on for each theme it off ALL regions based on the theme (including Europe and Japan). Whoever gets the most points gets me as their recruit.
