Glad the pedal is visible in this vid. How his whole body makes that piano work totally for the music flowing spontaneously out of him! And he still doesn't "crawl" over the piano as I see many piano players do. He is totally composed. That's why he is such a beauty to behold and listen to.

Yncham Lim is clearly one of the most exciting pianist I have heard for long time. On this piece, he really remind me Lazar Berman's liszt music approach, really amazing. Let's see in the coming year how he will manage his carreer and how good will be his recording. Let's hope he will put on disk these exceptionnal moment of fusion of top level virtusity and excellent musicallity.

He was only 18 years old! And he played with such power and passion you experience here in Kansas few days later of this recital. It felt like you're watching a movie with a huge orchestra playing the music.... WOW 😹

well just try out a recording from a distance of a certain hearer's reality, and you probably get music instead of hammers and strings. try a second time, same player, same piece, same instrument but, as is usually done, under the wing at just ½ meter from the strings and you get on record less interesting things, namely steel, copper, felt and hammering wood .

What’s cool is, because of the distance, angle of the shot, the lighting, and generally mediocre quality of the camera video, his hands appear to be glowing instruments of pure energy. Which, of course, they are.

사람이 피아노를 이렇게도 칠 수 있구나를 처음 알려준 피아니스트다. 내가 19세기 이전 피아니스트의 연주를 들어본 적은 없지만 이렇게 치는 사람은 역사적으로도 드물었을 듯. . 진짜 용암을 토해내는 것 같다.. 이 사람은 음악밖에 생각 안 하는구나. 연주하는 그 순간 최고의 음악, 본인이 말했듯 심장을 강타하는 음악만 생각할 뿐 다음 일정을 위해 에너지를 아끼고 팔을 아끼고 그런 건 안중에도 없는 듯. 그냥 그 순간 음악과 혼연일체

Not a good quality of the recording sound, But you can hear a real "Miracle" is happening, The Saint walking on wave of sea. Also you can hear a drum or an ochestra sound from piano.
