About 18 months ago I was with a writing client of mine who was 93 with a 105-year-old husband. Meghan's mother came to the house as a social worker for their hospice care and interacted with all the caregivers. She was kind and supportive of the family; a regular woman, talking about how tired she was and telling them not to worry about her strong daughter. MM got qualities from both sides of her family.

In regards to Meghan Markle, y’all gotta stop claiming all mixed folks as “Black.” That woman is biracial. She is not JUST Black. Mixed people are just that, mixed. A white woman can’t make a Black child. Sorry. Also, if you look Black you’ll be treated as Black. Meghan is light, bright and damn near white. She probably didn’t grow up as a “Black” girl.
