Yung Pinch spoke about his project ‘Forever Heartbroke,’ saying the project stemmed from a split he had with a former love interest, along with the loss of a friend in a car crash. Along with that, the rapper spoke about dealing with depression, and not letting depression be an excuse for him in life.
Along with that, Yung Pinch opened up about making a promise to himself to never do drugs and end up like his parents. However, he spoke about smoking weed and drinking alcohol, and also experimenting with mushrooms and acid. He then addressed a Lean addiction and not realizing it was a serious opiate when he was first taking it, which led him to stop. Too many people misinterpret or confuse the difference between "being sad" and "depression". If there is something, or multiple things that have happened that cause you to grieve, be upset, or to be sad (meaning that you are sad because of this thing or things that have happened) that's not depression! That's simply having an emotional response to some kind of trauma experience. Depression, is your body basically saying "fuck you, and everything else around you". You're not necessarily "sad". More often than not, you really have absolutely no emotion at all. You have no energy, motivation, or drive to even get up and do anything. Even when you're telling yourself that there's nothing wrong, and there's absolutely no reason for you to feel like this, you still do! You want and try to shake it off, and just think positive, but at the same time, you have all kinds of intrusive negative thoughts for absolutely no reason. Alot of time is spent reflecting on yourself and beating yourself up about things you have no control over. No matter how hard you try to fight it, or turn your mood around, it just doesn't happen. There are so many people that claim to be depressed, or act like they're sad all the time and tell people it's there "depression". Truth is though, the people who do actually deal with depression, are the people that you see smiling and cuttin up around people. Because people with real depression usually fake being "happy" or "normal", because they don't want to bother other people with their issues. **Disclaimer** I'm not saying that Yung Pinch or the other guy in this video haven't experienced real depression. They just spoke on the topic of depression, and this is something me and my sister had a conversation about like an hour ago. So I was just posting this comment to educate and inform anyone that takes the time to read it. Maybe it can help those who don't understand the difference between "being sad" and "depression".
