Real talk, what they really meant is that while there are other rappers who were there before them, no one specifically promoted hiphop and developed the scene , they just made songs without reallistcally garnering an audience, barely did or organised events like rap battles etc, and these people are the ones who brought ghat to the game

You misunderstood the point, $, Raa,Ikka were making music but it was self centred (nothing wrong in that) $ was making English tracks with RSC, Ikka, Raa were making Label pop/hip hop music, Even after that phase, $, Raa were into Kalamkar etc, These guys, Rebel, Prabh, SM, Full Power, Kode played major role in Growing the Delhi HH scene, Were organizing concerts, spitdope, rap battles etc

Raa made swag mera desi which was almost like a underground shiit with touch of pop and made Raamix which featured underground artists like saurabh acharya and muhfaad , raga , harjas and i forgot some names were in the video too and was judging battles and cyphers , soon after that raa started making DNH gang and with all this he was doing mainstream too kyoki pesa bhi kamana tha bro or that too is a art , industry me pehchaan boht kush kamaya udhar se bhi , so esa nahi hai ki vo underground me tha nahi

5:40 about this There were very few people doing proper hardcore hip-hop raga is one of them Back then raftaar have only few songs with hardcore vibe otherwise his tracks were always commercial And Krsna was not in Delhi in 2010-16 he was in Mumbai So there were no stablish artist representing Delhi Then raga came, one of the first rapper who properly represent Delhi, he just went off during 2020-2022 due to his health issues (in 2020 he had same numbers as krsna), And it was like if you had ask about Delhi hip-hop in 2017most of people give Raga's name

I agree rappers need to stop this to say we started this that and there was no one, but i understand them, reason is at ground there was no scene. Like these boys from delhi had no one in 2012-2014 to go to. They were alone mostly and no community to support them. Even though few people were doing like raftaar ikka krsna etc from delhi but they didn't create any delhi scene of sorts. So encore, raga, yungsta these gen rappers came later and slowly as delhi scene started forming, these rappers were part of spitdope and stuff. They are probably the first gen rappers to come out of a proper scene of delhi. But they started before the scene. So thats the flex. And no emiway fans will not say anything because this is about delhi. Mumbai and delhi are quite different and both scene developed differently. I hope this context will help.

This album is straight up banger. No skips. These boys really paved the way for delhi hiphop what it is today. Raftaar, ikka, kr$na are good but 2014-15 underground scene was seeing the rise of DIVINE, Naezy, Emiway, Raga, Muhfaad, Sikander Kahlon.
