Sometimes idols have bad days. I mean dealing with the extremes they have to put with from the public (ultimate love vs exaggerated hate) along with hard work schedules can get to even the most strong willed. Eunchae is still young and we also know she can be sensitive at times. So I'm just thinking she wasn't in the best of moods that day and was letting some of the negativity that comes with being an idol get to her. Sakura was low-key comforting her the whole time, while Yunjin was flat out protecting her. I think the girls are well aware of each other's moods and do their best to support each other when they can.

Sometimes a hater slips into the live feed and makes a nasty comment, and while most times it would be blown off by Eunchae, maybe it is one of those days where, like many teens, she is having an outbreak of pimples on her face, and feeling self-conscious about that already even if makeup is covering them well, and the nasty comment hits them harder as they think the pimples are visible or something. Also, sometimes an idol just isn't having the best day and what might start out a a couple trolls actually being malicious, some fans take as ironic sarcasm and pile in, but in text messages it is very hard to tell sarcasm from an actual insult. Hopefully after the live, Sakura and Yunjin had a nice chat with Eunchae, if she was still feeling bad.

All entertainers get hate comments even ones that are pretty universally loved like IU. It comes with the territory. Wish it didn't, but as an entertainer you kind of have to grow a thick skin. That is hard to do as a teen though, because you are still establishing your own identity, so it is easy for people to find a weakness in your psyche.

I know I'm late to comment here, but all I think is she's still a teenager right? And with being a teenager, even a mature one like Eunchae, she's still going through changes in her body and in her life and that can affect her no matter how much maturity and how wise she may be. Everyone has these moments in their youth of doubting their own beauty, or lack thereof. My mom always got angry with me and would literally punish me by making me stand in the mirror and say to myself, if I ever said I was ugly, "repeat after me, 'I'm Zayne and I'm handsome and I know it." It sounds like she might be raising a egotistical, self-absorbed brat, but it actually did give me confidence in myself and for the next several years in my youth and adulthood. It translated through to my confidence in being around women and approaching them and flirting with them.

Part of it is that even among pretty people, there is always someone they think is prettier, more talented, cooler, more stylish, etc. They are victims of Instagram as much as most people are, and in some ways, it may be even worse as in some cases they see people up close who really do have flawless skin, or six pack abs, or lustrous hair, and it can oddly make them feel like they don't measure up. It also does not help that no matter how good an idol looks, there will be some "fan" who will register their disapproval with a new hairstyle, haircolor, makeup style, weight loss/gain, etc. Even if 99 out of 100 people say they look great, the one person who says they don't will make that idol question whether most of the other 99 were just being nice and lying about them looking great. It's amazing how human nature works sometimes.
