Yunmai SE Massage Gun Review - The Slim Elegant Massage gun

I personally really like the variable speeds settings, alongside the 3 fixed levels.. Tried to count how many levels there was. - on the first variable cycling-speed setting... it went from 1 to 14.. so around 14 different levels. on the second I counted 1 to 24 RPM levels, so way above the 1 to 14 from the first and faster RPMs.. The fixed level 3 - if that should be 3200rpm ??... I guess they perhaps take the motor RPM and expect it to also be the case in a closed system, which it ain't...(though haven't tested how high the RPM actually goes too with the second variable speed-setting, as that perhaps goes to 3200rpm when on that setting. I tested the frequency on the 3 fixed main levels.. I got around 1200rpm lev1 and around 1600rpm lev2 and around 2400rpm lev3 (the 3 fixed levels) I also validated those numbers with an adjustable RC-film shutter, as you can see when the percussion tip is steady and not moving. percussion-depth, I measured 10.04mm with calibier.. so yep - 1cm of travel. (Personally I don't want more that's for sure.. I actually thought the more the better before purchase, but nope..if you also wanna use it in places where you ain't have a lot of tissue.. it gets too bouncy IMO... the 1cm seems ideal for an overall body use-case and bigger travel likely also comes with more noise. I was pleasantly surprised by the potency of the brushless motor in this unit... you can sense its quite a beefy fellow from the top roundness..I wanted to purchase one for my old mom, but this unit is simply too much. I like that the dock and the massagegun uses 19v.. then I can use a DC 5.5mm USB-C power delivery 20v cable and charge it will my power delivery charges like so many other things and being able to use it with PD power banks. all in all. it's a nice unit.. and it got that Xiaomi ecosystem feeling over it, well-made, nice build... the runtime is extreme.. been using it for many days.. and IM still at like led 3 out of 4.. wondering if those LEDs don't correspond to 25%, 50%, 75% 100%..because the runtime seems very LOOONG. I tested the noise with two-different decibel meters. (Decibel HY1361 and AZ8928) but it's so relative' as I got no reference for what distance to use when taking a reading, and what "way" you're pointing it. as it is quite directional the way the sound goes and your angle. but in general, like 45db on the lower speeds and 55db at the main lev3. it's not that long at each level like a second or two when you use the two-variable intervals and as noted haven't checked if nr2 of those where it cycles between like 24 intervals.. perhaps goes higher in RPM than the fixed level3. (but still, it should be quite easy to test) To test the percussion RPM.. an 8USD CN RPM tachometer and a narrow strip of reflective tape will do. Before I purchased this.. I was focused on certain factors when looking at a massage gun (inside my budget).. I wanted the highest percussion length and with a very strong brushless motor, the more the better... after I now got it.. I realize that ain't the ideal criteria for my use case.. 10mm is more than enough percussion and on some body-parts its, in my view balancing on being too much.. I reckon 10mm is an ideal depth for a general usecase.. the strong brushless motor... it goes without saying the stronger it gets - the more noise and the less runtime, while "noise" - is something I really prioritize.. so I can use it while watching movies TV, etc.. The balance "Xiaomi Yunmai Meavon" strikes with this unit, on all these factors are very good in my view. but I'm also likely looking at the product with the wrong bang for buck perspective. I recall I saw it around 189 USD on US amazon and on the Xiaomi Yunmai Meavon site like a year ago, and here in Denmark, the prices will be even higher after danish tax and +25%VAT and many things have also raised in price under cov19. so when I saw it for sale on AlieE 2 weeks back and I could get it at around 58USD with free shipping (after coupon) delivered free to my doorstep and perhaps even a tad lover if the store honor my cashback, it seemed like an attractive deal. was unsure if they would actually honor the purchase, at that price - as some stores often put. a "maybe" price and then they analyze it afterward if it makes sense to go thru and some will then not ship and if you won't cancel it yourself, they put a fake tracking, often from somebody else in your country, so it looks like "something" is in transit.. but yep, gladly it arrived in a few days, so clearly European stock.. (hmm just the shipping alone for such parcel that was a tad over 2kg inside Europe from Denmark to another European region with tracking, would be around that cost 60US, so it says something about how extreme the prices are here, that sadly are some of the highest price-floor on the planet. I'm guessing they are clearing EU stock at those very low prices. for that price it is a shockingly good value.. at fx 189USD. I don't know as I'm not that familiar with the market and alternative models but sofar I'm very fund of this unit. Btw, if your notice it is turning off by itself, "automatically" - it's a programmed feature.. where it will stop after a given time.. It's like 10 or 20 minutes of continuous runtime..if I recall,correctly - though you can turn it on again at the same moment..it seems to be a safety feature if somebody has forgotten to stop it, or it got pushed in transit or ?? The base unit, also got some sticky feet pads, so it will suck to a clean surface and you can remove the gun without the base are moving, and if these two rubber sticky pads underneath gets dirty.. then just wash with some hot water, and they sticky again. All in all surprisingly good massage gun, with that paid price in mind and I, fully recommend it, I don't think you can do much better if you are able to land it at that price, also a very nice bag, it comes with but my view is likely also tainted by the low price I paid. My unit came with a US charger, though with a crude EU adapter incl... but I don't use the incl 19v 1A PSU-charger.. as I can run it with 20v TypeC Power delivery PSUs (DC 5.5x2.1 barrel plug to TypeC PD 20v trigger cable) The manual is very nice and has many color pictures of the different body parts and muscles and approaches etc, but my unit, the manual was all in Chinese, so you need a translation app. The unit weighs 903g with the ball head attached and 827g without any attachments and with the unit in the base' its 1160g with the 4 attachments, and all parts in the casing it's just under 1800g in total. (1787g) # the 4 head attachments. pointy 24g flat 34g ball 77g Y-thing 37g Just to give some data, so people can see if thing changes, as both Xiaomi Meavon and Xiaomi Yúnmai have been making it - as far as I can tell. both are brands of Xiaomi's ecosystem. hi 3 questions which one do you prefer voxpree mini vs yunmai se? why? and the 3rd would be: what do the yunmai heads contribute? I think they are rubber like no other. Thank you for highlighting the stall force in your review.

Hi Pedro , thanks for your questions ! I prefer the Voxpree ( M30 and Pro) I do feel that in terms of percussion they feel better , and they both come with 2 metal head attachments that I love. between the plastic heads and the heads on the Yunmai , I feel that the ones on the Yunmai fell better especially if direct contact with the skin. I haven't been able to measure durability, maybe 1 year from today I can say more about them. The Voxpree on the other hand comes as I mentioned with the metal head attachments and I do feel a difference on the percussion depth. The Voxpree M30 is very user friendly slightly smaller in size and easy to handle creating less fatigue on the hands and forearm on prolonged use.

How did you weigh the gun? with an adapter? Mine weights with the small adapter 839gr... so i think you used that one? *And when you measure the noise you should turn off the backround music

Hey used a luggage scale with an adapter to hold the device ! The music is added post editing not during test so doesn’t interfere with background noise ! Unless you mean you actually wanna hear it on the microphone 🎤 thanks for the questions and observation.
