There is no hate for Kasim, but before God we just must say what is right, and what is wrong. There is no judgement for him, only God can do that, but to refuse him medicine while he was incapable of helping himself, his actions were that of murderous intent. His ego will not let him speak about his weakness to his master, who would surely give him advice to overcome it. Nor did he pray to God for guidance in overcoming, instead he is letting his jealousy consume him and burn away his righteousness. The lesson is give up your ego to God whenever it rises up in you. Do not hold onto it and pity yourself so that you may harm others and think what you're doing is right. Blessings to you 🙏

Kasim is quite a turbulent person. I do not think he has the capability to be the successor of Sheikh. He is arrogant, egoistic, insecure and above all not benevolent by heart. Yunus on the other hand, has built an ego over his scholar years but he is not lazy at all. Yunus is benevolent and eager to learn. He has dealt with many flaws of self; significantly in a short amount of time. Seikh knows that Yunus has the ample potential to succeed him. Bacim Sultan also loves Yunus for who he is. The mere difference is that Kasim wants to be what Yunus is in the eyes of people whereas Yunus only wants to be the better version of himself. Adding Bacim Sultan is actually a well executed dynamic to show both love and envy in two different dervishes.

At so many levels if one has that of a higher understanding of spirituality. A human spirit os a very fertile ground for parasites; it could be worldly desires, fame, ego. These parasites can even harm a fine harmless souls like Yonus. When Yonus fell ill, it was a turning point for his spirit too which got cleansed of the parasites dwelling in his spirit. And Sheikh helped cleansed his spirit. So that's the message.
