They are by far one of the best bands you will ever see live. I am seeing them for my second time next week. I saw them on my birthday in 2019 and was NOT prepared for the spectacle! It's like Rob Zombie, NIN, Hole, Korn, Madonna and Gaga had children who formed a band! I love their music as well, but their live show is above and beyond! Maria and the boys bring their A-Game! I'm glad I can still see them in 1K to 5K venues, but I imagine at some point they're going to headline major arenas. If they can put on a show like this in small venues, imagine what they could do at the Garden in Boston! I would not want to be a roadie for this group. I can't even imagine how long it takes to set up the stage every night! I cannot wait for the next show!

I was at their show the previous night at The Norva. It was an awesome show! I believe it was at least the fifth time I've seen them play live. Their theatrics really help set themselves apart from other bands... and of course Maria is amazing! As one would expect, video doesn't do the whole experience justice, but it does capture some of the spirit of their show. Thanks for posting!

I saw them awhile back when they opened for Korn and Rob Zombie. At that point I had no idea who they were and I never heard any of their songs. Even though they were on for about 30 minutes they were probably the most memorable act of the night

I looked up the setlist for this show and the other set lists from this current tour and I’m shocked that they aren’t playing more songs from the “Mother” album, considering this tour is supposed to be supporting that album. It seems like they are playing more songs from the “Blood” album, which that albums 10th anniversary is this year.

Blood was probably their first mainstream success. So it's easier to get people into the seats knowing what to expect. At least they don't have the situation foreigner has. The second time I saw them they were promoting their down slow down album. The way the vibe was the lead singer apologized for playing new songs.

She has really tried to go the "female Ghost" route over the last several years. A very, very similar evolution as far as the live presentation sans she's not masked like Tobias is. Probably an entertaining show. I myself enjoyed this band quite a bit back in the day with their first two albums, particularly the song Into The Light which still gets me having the "feels" even to this day. But I can't say a single track since that 2008 album has even faintly registered as memorable and not just straight up generic rock aimed at what used to be called "the Hot Topic crowd".

I have a female friend who is a metal singer and they learn to do the scream in a way that doesn't damage their vocal chords. It's a science for sure. I assume that a lot metal singers don't bother learning to scream without hurting their voices, but those who do don't have to worry about damaging their vocal chords.

@@dangerwilrobinson23 There's a lot more to singing or even voice acting then most people will ever know. Everyone talks about the screaming but don't realize a lot of the easy sounding notes can cause damage quicker then full on screaming. I learned that the hard way while I was studying voice acting. I was just a tiny bit off while saying a line and got the worst case of vocal burn my doctor had seen in years.

She uses way too many vocal effects. Takes away from the feel of the live show experience. Now whether she uses try to enhance the show or to cover up fawls. In her voice. Who knows because there are so many effects. Reverb,delays,vocal tracks. I get pissed when I go see a artist and you get this. Than you think if she is doing than is the rest of the band doing the same(faking it to back up tracks) I get she is in her 40's she. Might need the help. Just saying...Rob zombie does the same. For the first 10 yrs he was the worst live. Sudden he sound good in concert out of nowhere. Vocal effects my friends.
