The rabbit is "gigi". Yuqi's favorite toy that she takes with her whenever she travels. She has dozens of them in different sizes and colors. "gigi" is also her nickname in China.

I hope you'll listen to the whole album. I've never heard anything so good. 'Everytime' is my favorite song, the lyrics speak to me and I cried... but the other songs are amazing too. She is so talented. 'On clap' in concert with his level of dancing is going to be crazy.

See Yuqi performed all songs in this album and Giant + Bonnie & Clyde in YUQI FAN SHOWCASE is very awesome and enjoyable . And Minnie is the great MC. ❤😂😂😂

I watched that too. I think he's going to like the album. It's got a nice variety and goes a bit darker than this MV would allow :) I also loved Minnie as the MC. I thought she was just supporting her friend until their song came up.❤

I am not sure if it is that simple, but Yuqi is a Libra. Since the whole song is actually about her (supposedly). Drew Barrymore is an actress who had her beginning as child actress. Got her breakout role through E.T. movie (whether it is intentional to feature E.T.). she got into alcohol and subsequently drug abuse, so she was sent to rehab and all. (maybe this how people view her? A freak?)

oh yeah, I never picked up that Drew was in E.T.! I mainly made the reference to Scream which is why I kept wondering what the connection to E.T. was since it's not exactly in the same horror category as all the other movies.

Thanks for the reaction to Yuqi and glad you watched the teasers too. If you haven't see any of the Fan Showcase content I hope Cube keeps posting more so you can see it, they finally posted the Freak performance on the official channel. Otherwise give the whole album a listen, I'd be curious to see how you like it. I'm a big fan of Yuqi but the album has so many different styles, it makes me think of other artists that have showcased many styles at once and it makes it a little weird when you're expecting a fixed concept but it works well nonetheless!

Great reaction as always, sir. I think the Drew Barrymore reference may be more about her life. Drew was a child actor as well as Hollywood royalty (both of her parents were actors; her dad is John Barrymore, can't think of who her mom is right now). She was a party girl and very open-minded about stuff so she was kind of a "freak" in a sense. Somehow she managed to keep it all together and maintained an impressive acting career and keep her head along the way. ❤ The MOTO thing. I'm going to go out on a limb here but my guess was that the MOTO might be a form of public transportation based on her phrasing and pronunciation of the word. The main monorail system in Thailand that runs through Bangkok is the BTS: Bangkok Transportation (or maybe Train) System or something like that. I was teaching in Thailand when BTS (the group) started getting big and the students thoroughly confused me when they all started talking about BTS. I didn't know if they were taking the piss because I was a foreigner or if it was an actual group (I wasn't into kpop at that time)

@@Dacre1000 "simpler interpretation is probably the way to go" The way to go for...? Who? This is not a complicated interpretation, and it's perfectly in line with the theme of the song. ET is referenced here even though it's not a horror movie but that was Drew's breakout role when she was just a kid, she started drinking when she was 9 and was in drug rehab by the time she was 13. Drew Barrymore lived her wildest years in the public eye. There can be layered references in art/songs/mvs and it's the same here even if the song is just a fun pop song, and it fits here because Drew was also the girl infamously killed at the beginning of Scream. At the time the movie came out it was a huge deal because she was the most well-known actress in it.
