Fubumiko has been very close for a while, so when Mel's contract got terminated early this year, it was miComet who sticked around with Fubuki during this tough time and helped her to overcome it.

The part I find funny is that Suisei definitely has that CEO vibe, like she has poured her emotion into her work/fans and would struggle to pencil in time to feel passionate about someone else. Meanwhile Miko just has a tragic love life, like she has such a hard time approaching the type of girls she is into and it is rare for those girls to reciprocate her affection. Miko is like one of those anime protagonists who struggles with 3D girls, but where the main heroine never showed up to try and fix that.

I always thought fortune tellers work like other magicians. They're super observant (watching how people talk to each other while entering the store, being careful to note who orders and speaks more, who's quiet, how their moods seem to be: a magician should be very sensitive to these things.) and make sure they know how to say just enough to catch people's reactions and then infer from there. You can get pretty good at it because people are generally pretty predictable.

yea in addition to what others already said, a bit of selective memory from clients usually helps. The predictions and characterizations made by fortune tellers are usually very generalized - like “you are very ambitious” - and once a client hears a couple of predictions that fit their self-image they tend to focus on those selectively and forget predictions that were maybe not so accurate
