I love the people hating on YoI after the Crunchyroll awards. First off - it's fucking Crunchyroll, if you want quality torrent some fansubs morons. Second, the entire polling process was based on a popular vote system. This just means that more people enjoyed YoI than other shows this season. Third, it's fucking CRUNCHYROLL. They are the KFC to anime's slow-cooked rotisserie gourmet. "waaah YoI sucked" - This was a good year for anime, with a lot of titles that gave tired genres new twists that helped keep things interesting, don't bitch. Most people only watch 1-2 anime a season, so if you leave a poll up to popular vote of course this is what you get.

First of all, people don't hate Chrunchyroll, people hate this very specific poll that it hosted, and I don't see how downloading torrents will solve anything? Second, it's PRECISELY the popularity-aspect of it that people are upset about. The poll was supposed to be about the actual merits of shows, but rabid fans just wanted to throw the golden YURI ON ICE name on every single category and that ticked people off. Third, just because it's CRUNCHYROLL doesn't mean people don't get to be upset about it.

The Frozen Tundra Look if it was just a stupid popularity poll then why don't you just get over it? It's not the anime's fault that its gained a lot of fans and that Crunchyroll hosted this. Look it's understandable you wanna root for the anime you liked, but with a contest that based on people's opinions and with YOI's fanbase, their a good competition against your show and any other show. And if you don't like the result and are getting butthurt by it, then fine, ignore it. It's one out of millions of anime polls that can be hosted.

The Frozen Tundra it's literally a poll, that makes it impossible for everyone to look through certain criteria and take time to consider which shows really deserved what. the rabid fans are those who see the anime they like and then vote for it straight away, you can't expect the awards to display the 'actual merits' of the shows if the voting system is a popularity poll. if you want to see some rankings with actual reasoning and discussion between judges I'm sure there's already an article on myanimelist.

I personally loved Yuri on Ice, I'm enamored and have personally come to love about 99% of the characters (the 1% being Georgi cus freaked me out, is that just me?), and I liked the story that it was building. (Still waiting for season 2.) I can see why people are mad, because the show took like six awards at the Crunchuroll anime awards, but that's not the show nor the creator's fault. It was a choice awards thing, really, since the people were voting, so you can only expect the winners to be what's become popular. I only agree with like half of the awards the show won, but I'm not going to bitch and moan because there will be more awards next year. Please, don't go to straight up hating the entire show and the entire fandom, we're not all bad, and there is definitely more to the show than gay fanservice, I can assure you. As for Pellek, thank you so kuch for this, you did a fantastic job and brought me to tears with this cover. It was, as Viktor would say in a heavy accent, amazing. 😆
