@@hiddenleaf414 its still damage to the board by letting Yuriko slug everyone, and his decklist has plenty of ramp to just keep doing it. Though personally I would have probably been hitting Yuriko more to try and get Blue Big Spells out of the equation.

@@ColorfulHelices It was less damage on board then just not giving it to him and having 2 more players get in for damage the first few turns. Either the Yuriko player would have died sooner or one of the other 2 players, seeing how Muddstah won with such low life, one extra swing could have been the game for the Slicer player.

@hiddenleaf658 You know slicer converts if it doesn't pass off, right? It was either give it to Yuriko or no one gets it. The first swing hit Opps for 7, so it basicly did a successful round while unequipped. Second time wiffing is just a Yuriko feature.

@@hiddenleaf414 Not giving Slicer causes it to flip back into vehicle mode, though, which in turn unattaches all equipment and auras from it, so Max would have to waste mana reequipping Slicer every turn. So Max chose to gamble and hope Micah ran out of ninjas in hand.

Commander ninjutsu should be updated to just include and update commander tax as if you cast it from the command zone. Then they can also print more commander ninjutsu creatures as well. I will say this everytime I see a Yuriko deck.

Basically this channel is battle cruiser Cedh, where your old pet deck is 100% optimized and just a turn or three behind an in-meta grindy midrange competitive list. Depending on the opening hand(s), of course.

100% I could be missing something, but did you use Phyrexian altar to activate Eldrazi displacer in the last round? Cause I don’t think Phyrexian altar produces colourless mana.

He tapped two lands and sacrificed one mite. I don't understand why Max conceded here, though. With the Arbiter on the field, he can block the one creature and not get a poison counter-more or less two of them. Or get the one counter from the Apparition. Still not 10. I'm not sure what I'm missing here 😅

I have a doubt, I have Megatron as a commander and I wanted to use him with some equipments, just to protect him or to use the swords, but I thought that when Megatron convert him self he would lose the equipments, but in this game it appeared to me that he would not lose the attachment, can anyone explain to me the ruling? thanks in advance.

Megatron isn't a voltron commander. You wanna abuse things like Spine of Ish Sah, Ugin's Nexus, or Portal to Phyrexia with it instead.

If he doesn't give Slicer to someone, then it converts. Yeah, it gave Micah an extra attacker to Ninjitsu, but he can only do that so many times before he just has to let Slicer connect, then he can keep giving Slicer to his other opponents.

My 2 favorite decks that I own are slicer and Yuriko. My Yuriko deck is way more consistent than slicer but I play my slicer a bit more aggressively than what this video showed. Also I wouldn’t give slicer to Yuriko because that’s what they want lol.

Giving Slicer to the Yuriko player over and over again is just a big L. Also, Slicer is no longer a casual commander, similar to Kinnan, Winota, Kenrith, Atraxa the Grand Unifier etc.

Like Yuriko decks, Slicer decks can be toned down for more casual EDH. Most cEDH Slicer decks aren't as equipment-heavy as this one. In fact, a lot of them are Godo decks with Godo hidden in the 99, with Slicer being removal bait. As for not giving Slicer, Max had no choice: it's either give it and hope Micah runs out of ninjas in hand and command zone, or let Slicer flip back into vehicle mode and stay useless until Max's next turn, then waste mana to reequip it again. Also, once life totals became dangerously low, people had to block Slicer, meaning Micah could no longer ninjutsu it.

@@DarkEinherjar I am aware as I also have a Slicer cEDH deck. Yes, most cEDH decks with him run Godo combos, yes most of them are stax oriented. Yet some equipment and auras are still ran. I hear the argument that all life totals going down is a net positive for Slicer. Still though, that early on when Yuriko was going to be able to benefit off of it was imo when it was not necessary.

Why does a commander being cedh-able mean they can't be played in casual? That's an overly restrictive rule in my opinion. You build the decks to match your playgroup's power. Commanders don't solely define power of a deck regardless of whether or not some are stronger than others.

Why would you give the Yuriko player Slicer with other opponents who can’t block it? Also just curious because it’s hard to tell in the game but what were you using to give you the colorless mana for the Eldrazi Displacer’s ability each time? Edit: Forgot Slicer converts again if you don’t give it to an opponent!

As I answered in my comment, Micah may not always have ninjas in hand, and not giving Slicer to him means it flips back into vehicle mode, unattaching all permanents from it and preventing more Slicer shenanigans until Max's next turn anyway. Additionally, once Yuriko's and Slicer's damage started to pile up, everyone had to block Slicer, meaning Micah can no longer ninjutsu it.

​@@hiddenleaf414as far as I can see the Brushland was always available, even partially seperated so it seemed like Muddstuh was aware. Unless you have a specific Timestamp. Misplays can always happen with tapping specific lands

So sad, slicer given to yuriko was a bad move and the yuriko player could have attacked and AFTER combat damage from slicer then ninjitsu yuriko in at the end of combat step. This would have reduced the damage he took from slicer.

Better yet, the Yuriko player could let Slicer deal first strike damage, then ninjutsu a ninja for the regular combat damage.

Why did maximus keep giving slicer to the yuriko player? It's a may ability, sure having it flip to its vehicle side is annoying but it's better than having to recast it every turn. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Either Micah would run out of ninjas to sneak into the field, or life totals would become so low that people would be forced to block Slicer, so it can't be ninjutsu'd out of the field. Apparently both ended up happening.
