Whenever I see Yuri cry during the last episode after his performance, it gets to me. He gave 110% to prove he's an unstoppable force of nature as a competitor, and he views Yurii as a worthy opponent that he doesn't want to see giving up. It's a huge development from when he wanted Yurii to retire, and he's willing to do any amount of work and practice to obtain his goals to be at the top. That level of self discipline and commitment is rare amongst most people, let alone a 15/16 year old.

Mason Kruize I love this comment because it is so true. How he ended up giving his all to dance for someone else in the end compared to in the beginning where in the competition with Yuri. He didn't dance for anyone during the competition. There is so much character development throughout the series. You just fall in love with the little tiger!

Omg when he was crying because he got first place, I just wanted to hug him. I’m sure everyone was proud of him in that moment. He had the best character development in the show and that’s why he’s my favorite. I love him so much. He may have an attitude but he’s a teenager so we can’t really do anything about it. But if you just think about it he’s actually a cinnamon roll who needs love.
