I am a sixty seven years young man, drowning in nostalgia! Cat was always one of my favourite artists from "back in the day" I recently bought all of his albums on CD as (don't laugh) I have them on 8 track! My daughter got me this one and I shed more than a few tears, thinking of happier and better days.

I’m 66(+) and absolutely LOVE Cat Stevens/Yusuf. This song somehow just enters my very soul! Every time it comes up on the CD, I will hit replay 5or 6 times💕 His songs are so pure, truthful, loving, peaceful and kind. Yusuf, I thank you from deep within my soul for bringing peace, love and kindness to chase away any bitterness and resentment I have carried through my life! God bless you💕🇨🇦

Thank you to Britain for welcoming all these migrants to your shores for so many centuries. Cat Stevens is half Greek Cypriot and half Swedish. His parents operated a restaurant in England and Cat Steven used to help out as a child.

Discovered this song today, when Yusuf was inducted into the songwriters Hall of Fame. The lyrics are so good and the melody's soothing! I only wish it had proper English subtitles or lyrics on the screen! Thanks for all the music Yusuf 🎶💞 and thanks for promoting peace!💟🙏 I'm a Christian but I believe in one humanity! 💟 We should take better care of each other! We should also take better care of nature and animals! Greetings from Sweden!🌻

While some people don't recognize territories only governmental states. Iraq does respect a territory > en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurdistan [ps as a USA citizen I am aware the USA has its own version of territories ! ] Territories of the United States are sub-national administrative divisions directly overseen by the United States (U.S.) federal government. Unlike U.S. states and Native tribes that have sovereignty alongside the federal government, territories are without sovereignty. BUT PALISTINE > the broadest definition of Palestine has been that adopted by the British Mandate of Palestine, which includes present-day Jordan, Israel and the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The narrowest definition used in contemporary politics embraces only the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. > Palestine is recognized as a country by 136 out of the 193 United Nations member states.The Declaration of Independence and the Proclamation of the State of Palestine took place on November 15, 1988. with East Jerusalem as the designated capital. [ Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, Palestine.] Jews did not invade Jewish ZIONISTS did. Comparative to saying German people were not all Nazi's. What is sadly true ,,, Zionist's have very similar type of thinking, like the German Nazi party had.

What an absolute brilliant song! I treated myself to bying this album recently and i am in love with EVERY song on the entire album! This great Man has yet again created another beautiful work of art. These songs are straight from the heart and soul, about personal experiences... but everyone can also relate to these wonderful songs. They are moving, but at the same time the whole album experience is really, really cool... he must be one of the coolest Dad's on the planet!!! Thanks Yusuf - Gav x

This song might have been written when Yusuf was denied entry into the US. Thank God they realized they had made a mistake and took him off the no-flying list. If I was Yusuf I would have been SUPER mad! but you know him, he is all forgiving...

Actually, after not being allowed into the US, he wrote the song "Boots and Sand": kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3qydJeGl52Zga8
@magikknights7216 жыл бұрын
and a few more songs that touch on that time frame. Almost every song he wrote has truths in it of his real self/feelings/life. An interview he gave a comment about > when he looks back and listens to songs he wrote in the past, he realizes now things about himself that he did not really know or understand about himself back then. But some how it made it into his songs. [An amazing man, amazing mind, amazing voice.]

songs like this don't require videos... How shallow have we become.. Let us listen to the lyrics and the melody. That's how songs like this are properly absorbed.. Okay my opinion, but rather than debate this, consider my point. :)

It's cold now in Palestine. And so many homeless, so many orphaned. No room for them in most of what was their own country. Think of them when you hear this song.

Tigger How do we actually STOP the intolerable suffering within the Muslin world. Most people just want peace and the chance to care for their families. No matter what race, colour or creed, there are always a few who manipulate for their own cause and advantage. Brilliant Yousef - a man of real peace.

Roadsinger came to town, long cape and hat, People stood and stared, then closed their doors As he passed He strolled the empty street, kids banged on tin cans Then the panting dogs began to bark As the Roadsinger sang Where do you go? Where do you go? When hearts are closed When a friend becomes a stranger, Nobody wants to know. Where do you go? Oh, where do you go? When the world turns dark And the light of truth is blown out And the roads are blocked. He stopped by a store, between the barrels and sacks, A child’s face peeped out and gave a smile And ran back Behind a misty glass, on a window pane, A little finger drew a perfect heart And her name Where do you go? Where do you go? In a world filled with fright; Only a song to warm you, Through the night Where do you go? Oh, where do you go? After lies are told, And the light of truth is blown out, And the night is cold. Roadsinger rode on, to another land Though the people spoke a different tongue, They’d understand They showed him how to share and took him by the hand Showed him the path to heaven Through the desert sand Where do you go? Where do you go? To find happiness, In a world filled with hatred 1 And tears. Where do you go? Oh, where do you go? If no one cares And everybody’s lost, Looking for theirs.
