About gifting cars, they did it the way they did so you can't sell cars to people for real money and then give it to them in the game and it does make a lot of sense

a much better system for the weak barriers is that to break it you ram into it multiple times. for example, you ram into a barrier, its slightly damaged, you ram it again, its more damaged but still not broken, you ram it again and half of it is gone.

True that's actually a pretty good alternative - Or perhaps make it destructible depending on the speed because you can destroy any barrier at like 40mph in FH5 which is pretty slow

I think they propably make them weak due to limitations. Maybe it would be too heavy to have more realistic damage and reflection off of them, like, a guardrail could be grinded and it wouldn't break, but would slow you down, it would break depend on angle, speed and the weight of the car. At least they should be more resilient and heavy, giving some more use for bigger heavier cars. This makes me think of snow as well, since it could be an area where 4x4 SUVs and cross-overs would be better at by default, while many sports cars would require modifications to handle better. Could give them a purpose for people who don't like these types of car that much otherwise (like me).

but then how does beamng have realistic crash physics? this may be a weird point since it's mainly the cars that can crash but the props as well have the physics.

@@windowsxpdude in Beam, other than props you spawn, there is barely any thing in the map that is interactive at all. I never spawned a bunch of of props to have fun with, but spawning more cars is certainly very heavy on the CPU. Do a lap based Cross-country event in Horizon to compare, the game can't even remember which props you wrecked in the previous lap, with the way they work now. Imagine if they had much more in-depth physics and consumed even more CPU power. Maybe the first Series SIX exclusive Horizon will improve that, but 5 still had to run on a base Xbox One. Even had to remove visual weather effects for that.

No matter for how long i haven't played FH4, im not gonna miss snow. But i can admit that winter in Edinburgh was super cozy. An idea with small section of map being covered in blizzard seems like a great compromise.

7:16 I COULDNT AGREE MORE!! I play FH5 and NFS Unbound quite often and I feel like the cars in NFS have way more meaning, detail and soul even without the customisation. It may be because the cars are more finite and 'hand picked', also the grind is a bit higher, but every new car has that wow factor when you get it, even if you have another one thats the same since you can try different builds. Edit: Basically what im trying to say is that cars in FH5 feel like participation trophies and cars in NFS feel like actual achievements.

Yes ofc. The progression(or lack of it) is the biggest problem in Forza Horizon imo. The cars themselves are mostly brilliantly modeled. Some better then others ofc. So that’s not the problem. There’s just so many, and they are so damn easy to get. That’s why I miss Test Drive Unlimited. That game eats every other open word driving game for breakfast in terms of progression, satisfaction and car bonding. Can’t wait for TDUsc !

Totally. They need to sort of reinvent themselves. Keep the good stuff, but make FH6 more realistic. Less cartooney/fortnitey. Like maybe add fuel. Some proper driving delivery missions. I mean, I would love to see them make something like FH1/2 again, but in a new spectacular way. And also they have to make car bonding better. They need to VASTLY improve progression. That’s a really important thing

i agree with the convoy thing. i used to go on my brothers xbox and just honk at this one guy in a i8 then honked at my whole crew (the g's) and it was so fun cruising with them bc you cant experience it anymore with fh5 bc nobody cruises i found maybe 4 people asking me if they wanted to cruise

You can still do convoys/cruise with drivatars in fh5 but it’s limited to one drivatar at a time. Match the speed of a drivatar behind them eventually they’ll pull over to the side while still moving, pull up next to them and then they’ll speed up, now you just follow them and there you go your now cruising with a drivatar!

Exactly my friend’s first forza was fh5 and within a day he had a lambo, was on his way to Chiron, multiple Ferraris etc, i much prefer progression in nfs for example where it actually takes time to get the next ‘level of cars’ and being just a random car headed bumb then becoming the champion instead of like you say already being the champion.

No joke the last time I received a gift (basically yesterday) I was gifted a Shelby Cobra 4/27. I mean is not the best car in Forza Horizon 5 or anything like that but it’s cool and it costs a lot to sometimes someone gift to you a car with meme tune and it’s fun to drive, so sometimes I’m glad that gifting cars is a feature, but as you said it could have been better

the reason gt6 had 1.2k cars is because back then it was way way easier to put cars into a game bc it was made for the ps3 and xbox 360, while fh5 has insane graphics, reflections, very very well deatailed interiors and exteriors, back then the game devs really didnt have to put that much time in to cars, but forza hasa huge car list witch is really good, i get choose over 725 unique models and all that

When it comes to drivatars, they need to re code the AI so they don't be driving straight through the barriers. Cars still change colours and spawn right Infront of you. Snow was my favourite thing about fh4! A while week with slippy slidies and and I had a reason to build a proper winter car. Now I don't have a winter beater. :(

I love the car rarity thing, it's the best way to make money in the game. All you need to do is win cars that you DON'T want in the festival playlist, wait a few weeks until they've gone up in value in the auction house, then sell them for up to 20 million CR. I have 210 million CR in the bank thanks to this mechanic.

I disagree with 3: 1. Straight Highway: I like the idea if a straight highway because when your in a convoy you can just cruise with people and choose to drag race on it 2. Car List: Though we only have forza aero, with the amount of cars in the game, you can just wait to unlock it instead of making a wish version of it using a different car 3. Removing Snow: With snow it is so much harder to test out the cars in the season that they give you, for an example: the new car in the festival playlist is a lambo svj but it's the snow season so you can't get the actual records of the car because there is snow all over the road so your just spinning out

I always cruised with the ai drivatars, and definitely not flipping them in the mine with ai, also I got very good cars from gifting like 3 jeep willys with no brakes, Ford bronco with cringe skin and I even got a car worth 5k also I got a Alfa Romero I think from the season pass and it became a sleep paralysis demon, Entirely black with only headlights and brakes. Also a lancia ( forgot name ) interior was almost pitch black which I wanna see inside, kinda unfortunate.

The thing that annoys me the most about the Hot Wheels DLC is the racing surface. There are *no* tires in the game that can grip the Hot Wheels track, which makes racing on any difficulty level higher than tourist nigh impossible without shameless wall-riding, meanwhile the AI drivers are still *rocketing* around *corners* at *top speed,* completely unencumbered. It sucks the fun out of racing.

I feel like forza 5 should've kept your character not having a voice, but put you in first person during dialogue. It'd feel more immersive, rather than watching someone awkwardly talk to a person without a voice, or watching two people talk like they're in a Dhar Mann video while you wait to drive your car again.

In the next Forza game snow should only come around Christmas/New Years to make it festive, similar to what GTA Online does. For the rest of the year, either get rid of it entirely or keep it optional.

A better system would be to have a button that lets you switch between season effected servers and non season effected servers, so when your in a non season effected server the weather and day night cycle still happens but instead it’s always summer and there’s never snow, or it’s never spring etc etc

I don't agree with the 'too many cars' thing. Not every car needs to have tons of cosmetic customization, that's not the only thing that's important and for some cars it's good that they don't have much customization (think of the classics).

Yeah I’d much prefer a forza car list with forza customisation rather than a nfs car list with a lot less cars but everything being customisable. Body kits for select cars that make sense to have body kits is enough for me.
