I really like the story that's come out of this little rat who was just meant to be a side character. It's like watching a child grow up the way he's just become a fully fledged character with interests and a backstory. Honestly it's amazing work 🫶🫶

I had hoped that he would become a boy, but using him as this sort of alternate route that's parallel to Alphonse where they're two boys who have a lot of guilt about their past and seeing him try to grow in his own way with Casper while lowkey trying to achieve some of what Al/Boo have is really neat. There's obviously similar themes, but the added "you knew me before all of that" layer really makes it a different thing altogether. Alphonse had the benefit of Boo not knowing anything about who he used to be. Casper is definitely a bit different than Boo, though similar in the sense that if they both had to handle business, they would. lol

⁠​⁠​⁠@@YuuriVoice yes I totally see what you were doing with the parallels and the similarities! and to me personally it's also really helped give the story more depth and feel more life like and believable and Casper and Boo handling what needs to be handled makes it an even better perspective to view the story from because they are involved and actually present in the moment rather than just stuck on the sidelines like you see in most fiction similar to this. it's honestly grade A storytelling

god i love Charlie and Casper's relationship. It's never quite as intense as most of the other boys' relationships, but it still feels raw and real a lot of the time. It's also like... a really healthy relationship.

This is overwhelmingly sweet. It's got angst but such a raw tenderness. Charlie and Casper reconnecting so naturally and being such an abundant source of emotional safety to each other... Charlie has easily become my comfort character. He doesn't shy away from his past, but he does actively try to move past it. And he recognizes he doesn't have to do it alone. He's a silly lil guy with an awful lot of emotional intelligence. 🥰

ok usually i’m a silent viewer but MAN. i feel like i gotta say something about this audio in particular. this audio has got to be one of my favs so far :’) i got pretty emotional listening to this one! the music didn’t help with the emotions either LMFAO (got me crying fr) seeing charlie get all choked up at the end made me feel so many things :(( in a good way, of course! watching him grow into a character who is now able to open up and talk about his past with someone he trusts has been so wonderful! witnessing his character development has been so lovely. really looking forward to seeing more of him

That was amazingly beautiful. The emotion and everything. I screamed when Charlie mentioned Al and Seth by name lol. Then he started talking about the big boss and I got excited all over again. The ending almost had me in tears. The raw love and care Charlie has for us is so obvious in that moment. I also love that he said Casper never has to tell him their past if they never want to. I just adore Charlie so much. There was a split second when my heart squeezed when he mentioned how he'd betrayed Seth and Al cause they're my joint number ones but I love Charlie too much. I can't wait for the upcoming convo in chapter 4 of Bittersweet whenever we get there. This audio was just incredibly done and I could go on and on about it ☺️
