Yuyu Hakusho Epic Walk

Inspired by the epic walk of the Straw Hat Pirates, I remembered these guys also had an epic walk scene. So I combined the soundtrack to produce this. I do not own any of these media, just made this for entertainment purposes (mainly my own).

These shot selections are fantastic. The shadows moving on the wall as they walk, the focus pull between the group and Kurama, Hiei jumping in front of the moon, the panning shot ect. Add so much to this scene and all done in 90's hand drawn animation.

It is called a montage walk. Honestly, I did something similar, started from near downtown Portland Oregon out towards Beaverton and I must say, it was quite the stroll.

Dude, this series is 30 years old, the ability and resources of animators would naturally progress in that time. I get the love of 90’s anime esthetic, but you’re romanticizing dated animation even older than East Blue One Piece. Hakusho looked good for it’s time, 30 years ago.

@@leoncarlson5299 I forgot to mention that it doesn’t matter, if the Yu Yu Hakusho walk came first, because it’s not as iconic as the one piece walk, so that’s why I’d view the one piece walk as the more prominent one, and that’s just a fact. Also, the Yu Yu Hakusho characters ran during the end portion of their walk, that discredited the walk.

I like Yu Yu Hakusho but there are so many gaps in episodes I often have nno idea what's going on. I want to get back into watching this anime but just like One Piece it seems somewhat overwhelming to do so.

Yeah I agree, thats the 90s anime for you. For One Piece, I recommend you watch the Movie-fied versions of the Arcs so that you just watch each arc in a summarized version. You'll lose the "fillery" part of the TV series and maybe some other minor content though, but at least you'll enjoy the major ones.
