my god you're so right. in the words of my mother, they do this to keep other skaters skating. in all honesty, whenever yuzu is on his game, no one compares. he is the most well rounded skater in history. I don't care what anyone has to say about Nathan or Uno, they're both AMAZING skaters, but in regards to skill and performing, the difference between yuzu and them is incomparable. he is miles better, anyone with eyes can see that, and knows that full well. they have to underscore yuzu in that sense then bc if they don't he'd be winning all the time and it wouldn't be "fun" for the other skaters when in reality, its just not fair. the one thats better should in, and should also be awarded what they earned. this performance earned way better than a 225, for sure. its so disappointing bc you can't do anything about the corruption amongst judges when it comes to sports like these where the winner is determined by other human beings. I mean, I know why Nathan is overstored, he's American and anyone from America gets overstored no matter what. but shoma? he's literally Japanese just like yuzu so I've never understood why the judges have taken such a liking to him.

Normalmente, por lo que tengo entendido y por los programas que he visto, los presentadores en España siempre dan ánimos a su representante pero no quiere decir que no apoyen a otros patinadores, aunque por supuesto todos se merecen esos ánimos 😊

Yo, como española, no entiendo ese sentimiento de "como soy española voy a apoyar a los españoles". Yo apoyo a quien me parece mejor sin importarme el país de procedencia de la persona. Yo no me siento representada ni por Javi ni por Yuzu ni por ningún patinador o deportista, simplemente les veo patinar y les admiro. No creo que sea lo correcto animar a cierto patinador simplemente porque "representa" a tu país y más aún si eres presentador, según mi opinión, debes ser lo más objetivo posible y animar a todos por igual. This may interest to you: For this incredible Worlds 2017 performance, I commented on a website which has since been deleted: "I doubt that we will ever witness such a magnificent and other-worldly performance by Yuzuru or anyone in our lifetime. With all respect... how striking was the change in his "persona" when he stepped onto the ice, until he finished his final bows... He's said he "goes someplace else, somewhere" when he begins his performance.. His appearance moves from being a gentle, quirky, polite young man, to being someone on a deeper level of existence. He seems to forget himself and his ego, and becomes immersed in the flow of his body and the music. He appears to forget time and so do we. When he finished, his expression was that of a champion, a man totally in charge, completely aware of how commanding his performance was. He knew he had performed a masterpiece! es normal que pase eso con Yuzuru por que el hace arte sobre el hielo , Yuzuru muestra lo que es el verdadero patinaje ARTISTICO , sus coreografias son mas que saltos muestra elegancia, pasion, sentimiento en cada uno de sus movimientos ,es por eso que el publico ama el patinaje de Yuzuru por que mostro un patinaje artistico diferente, uno que puede trasmitir sentimiento y felicidad a su publico. eso es lo que hizo de Yuzuru una figura del patinaje inolvidable, lamentablemente aveces los jueces no valoran ese cada pequeño detalle que yuzuru pone en sus coreografias, en cada uno de sus movimientos y solo ven los saltos y ya.... el PATINAJE ARTISTICO no es solo saltos sobre hielo , es arte y sentimiento lo cual nos enseño Yuzuru .

Regarding free skate, most normal people know him by Olympic SEIMEI or record-breaking SEIMEI. But to me Hope & Legacy '17WC is always the MASTERPIECE OF MASTERPIECE, the ultimate combination of both CORRECT technique and artistry. Its existence is beyond competition (Indeed he wanted to make huge comeback and there was this legendary performance.) I consider it my TOP favorite free skate ever.

I love the Spanish commentary and am happy to find it. I will just add as a point of interest - the "cross" sign Yuzu makes, which the male commentator could not stop talking about, even overriding the beginning of this splendid performance - is not a religious gesture by Hanyu. Hanyu has said it is his way of always reminding himself about correct body alignment. A pity commentators do not research their subjects - I wonder had this person even ever watched Yuzuru before, to be so struck by his absolutely routine gesture.

Every time i feel down, i'll watch this performance again and remind myself how he several time winning out of impossibility. This is one of his masterpiece indeed. Right? there is such duality in him, he is fierce while competing, just look in his eyes, then later he is such a cinnamon roll, goofing around with everybody at gala, giggling in interviews...He looks delicate , but has a heart of a warrior. Thank you for uploading this masterpiece. I just found Yuzuru recently on the KZbin recommendation probably due to the Tokyo Olympics. I was captured by his Seimei program in 2018 Olympics, then shocked by his determination and strong will in his performance in 2014 Cup of China where he had a serious collision with another skater (and also 2018 OG after I found out his ankle was injured). But what touch me the most is this program. I don’t know why but everytime I watch this program I wanna cry. Maybe it is because of knowing what he had gone through in the past few years, the injuries, asthma, surgery, his enthusiasm towards this sport, his hardworking, his refusal to blame the obstacles he faced, his persistence to keep quite an amount of transitions between jumps for artistry despite the risk to fail a jump and so many others. Combining all these with his fluid-like skating and elegant jumps which were in sync with this emotional music and the theme of this program (to me it is keeping your faith and conveying the hope to others, that's why it is called Hope and Legacy). Under the pressure that he fell behind after the short program, he skated the free program clean! I always imagine how hard everything must came right in order to give this masterpiece, it is just so so difficult, beautiful and touching because no matter how hard you practice sometimes you just fail. I not only admire his skills but also the emotion and message he was trying to express. Someday Yuzuru will retire but he and many of us as the audience can always be proud to say that he had many mesmerizing and memorable performances and this program is definitely one of them. I sincerely wish him success in landing 4A which is his childhood dream and having good health and happiness. Sorry if I cannot express myself properly because English is not my first language and I can't speak Spanish.

Muchas gracias por este video. Hasta ahora de este ejercicio en español solo habia visto el que comenta Paloma. De todas formas tengo que decir que el comentarista, que no se como se llama, mete ese inicio de comentario dando a entender qie Yuzuru es cristiano, cuando yo creo que es sintoista, se ha dejado tomar imagenes en templos sintoistas. Lo que el comentarista cree que es presignarse o santiguarse no es mas que una mania que tiene el para recordarse que tiene que mantener centrado su eje. Lo ha comentado en alguna ocasion.

Es increíble. No sé mucho (por no decir nada) de patinaje artístico, pero sus rutinas son muy hipnotizantes y cautivadoras. Además, no sabía que había patinado con música de Joe Hisaishi, el mítico compositor de muchos soundtracks de Ghibli.
