31:10 pigeons don't build proper nests because in the wild they breed in the crevices of rock cliffs. They only need some light protection where the eggs could roll out of the crevice, but other than that no nest required. That's why they can't build nests. They never needed them.

Correct. To be more specific, what we call Pigeons are technically named Rock Doves specifically for this behaviour and their characteristic grey colour. What Yuzu was talking about were called Messenger/Carrier/Courier Pigeons, and they have been extinct for a few decades now I believe.

The idea is that the robot can function in shared spaces with humans and can do normal human jobs, usually boring and repetitive ones. But some robot manufacturers are trying to use alternative shapes instead of just humanoid. The one on the video already has backward facing knees because they work better. Robots with four legs, spider robots, and other shapes could work on spaces designed for humans but there's also the idea of making the robots more friendly looking, so a little humanoid works better.

@Gold_Grave2007 yes. it's not complicated. If you melt the ice from your driveway, it will turn into water, but if it's still cold out, it will then refreeze into black ice which is way more dangerous.

Regular old street pigeons aren't domesticated. And those nests are all they need, since out of cities, they nest on cliffs and rocks and only need a few twigs to keep the eggs from rolling, they never built full nests to begin with. For transporting messages and pigeon racing, the homing instinct is natural, they don't really need training or domestication, though most of the ones used are domesticated breeds.
