This is Mizo traditional dance or at least patterned over Cheraw. I don't think Vaiphei tribe or any sub tribe of Mizo have a separate version that is traditional, unless copied or modified which amounts to appropriation.

Your comment is a bit misleading. How can you be so sure that Vaipheis don't have this particular dance? Just as Mizos(Duhlian speakers) call it Cheraw, we call it Sukta lam. Isn't it obvious that we, the Zohnahthlaks born from the same progenitor will share similar culture, traditions, dialects, dances, songs, etc. Our brethrens Thadou-Kukis have this dance too and they call it Suhta lam.

Yea,they copy Hmars or Mizos,,see they even copy dresses like lenbungṭhuam of hmar/mizo although they cant pronounce the letter Ṭ (tri)
