I know One Million gets a lot of hate because of its popularity , but MAN it's soooo good !!! To me it's a top 10 of all time scent . Reminds me how Aqua Gio got super popular and made me not wanna wear it , but I also think GIO is a top ten 10 . I like the scents that change the game forever

I actually like ambroxan even if it smells manufactured to me. I’m actually surprised I typed that since I didn’t always. But when it’s mixed well with other things I enjoy it. I think it’s great for young collectors to have solid options like Y. There is plenty of time to mix things up later, but we all start somewhere. And in fact, I’d put my favorite designer purchase for 2017 in the same category as Y, maybe with more nuance: Luna Rosa Carbon. Tons of compliments, great performance, and I love wearing it all day. My overall 2017 favorite is...Artisan Pure...because it works for 365/24/7....2nd...Valentino Absolu....Personally I like the Absolu more BUT it only works in certain situations...winter/fall times

Mine was Prada L’homme intense. When I went in the store just looking around to see if I wanted to get some designer frags. The rep pointed me to this and I was floored. I immediately bought the gift set that comes with the travel atomizer as well.

I was given a sample of this when I got two Versace fragrances (Dylan Blue and Eros) from Sephora. Initially OK on me but upon drydown, it has a slight funkiness that's a bit off-putting. But then my skin chemistry is strange.

I actually smelled this frag in GQ and liked it quite a bit. But you're right, not the most remarkable. I also smelled another one in the same magazine that I'm just waiting for to go to discounters and that's Stronger With You by Emperio Armani. Best frag I've smelled this year and I can't wait to get my nose on it for real! Great review btw!

There hasn’t been too many releases this year that have wowed me. Coach for him wasn’t bad but not great. Prada L’homme intense was just ok. I think Y from YSL is in the middle of the pack as well, but at first sniff it was the one I liked most. 2017 seemed like a lackluster year for designer releases. Hopefully 2018 comes with more to offer. Have a great new year!

Yeah! I remember you sayed that! If I may, I would like to give you some suggestions... Zara Black Tag/Black Tag Intense. Zara Night 4 (to my nose it's an eau de parfum of vibrant leather and cheaper!!). Zara Oriental Delice/Oriental Gourmand (I have the first one, it's a little bit like Black Opium). Zara Orange Zest (E said it was like Dior Homme Sport 2008). Zara 9.0 (a similar vibe to Valentino Uomo). Zara Wood noir/Excluvise Oud/Amber (do not own the last one, :'( ). Haven’t bought any designer frag that released this year. I have smelled the Armani Stronger With You, D&G Light Blue Intense and Paco Rabane Pure XS. I think i have smelled Y too. I think they all smell good but not enough for me to purchase. For me even i don’t love them, i think the best smelling one is either Stronger With You or Pure XS. I’ve heard lots of good things about the new Valentino, gonna try it soon.

This year I bought Hanae Mori HM, VUI, Nautica Voyage, and a bunch of decants. Of those decants, I will definitely try to buy Spicebomb and Fahrenheit. On the cheaper site I think I will buy Zara Y as its only 8 euros on sale. Others I liked but will not buy I can think of Prada L'homme and Versace Eros.

2017 was not the most exciting year in the history of designer fragrances. Normally every year there are fragrances that are potential hall of famers but this year there was not a release that stands out for me. Dior Homme Sport and Y by YSL are perfect examples. It's not bad but it's not what people expect from the big brands. Coach is a good 2017 release especially for that price.
