This was my first YSL fragrance so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I love it. I've been wearing this for a few months & the compliments I get are ridiculous. Guess I'm a heavy sprayer bc I use 6 sprays, 3 on neck, 3 on my shirt & it last all day. Even days later when I take the shirt to be clean, the lady at the cleaners smell it. I'm definitely a fan now

The EDP is solid. They are not really comparable in my opinion. Le parfum is darker and is a magnificent fragrance. I love them both and are staples in my collection.

I think it’s a batch variation with this one. I blind bought a bottle earlier this year from Macys , it just smelled basic even on the dry down it just had an alcohol smell and only lasted 2-3hours. It was so bad I had to return it. This week I went to Ulta and smelled it again on my skin, it smelled so good it blew me away, really deep dark and powerful. It was better than the EDP imo. The sales woman told me that it was a 21’ batch bottle. 7 hours later when I got home I could still smell Le Parfum on my wrist and it was STRONG. Idk if the 21’ vs 22’ batches are different. If so, I’d buy it from a good discounter online or a small local perfume shop cause they’ll more than likely have the older 21’ batch bottles.

bought this after testing it alongside the Y EDT and Y EDP, which just didnt have as much punch as Y Le Parfum. Before testing any of the 3, the young woman assistant said she much prefered Y Le Parfum ahead of the other 2 and I have to agree. And when I say "punch" I dont mean it's aggressive, just that it stands out more than the other 2 and has more depth and complexity I reckon....so I agree with Big Beard. I'm not great at identifying opening notes on any perfume but certainly after 5-10 minutes on your skin, this gives a really gorgeous fresh, musky, sage-infused, masculine scent that I reckon is perfect for any season and any occasion. Reminds me a lot of Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme, another lovely, fresh scent. It's around the same price too...between €115-120. Not cheap but worth it I reckon. You'll get more than a moderate amount of compliments on it as well.

To me this strays away a little bit from the original DNA yet the original is hanging back chillin. I like the edp better than this one however this is a solid pick if you're a fan of the line. The price is shocked me but wasn't surprised due to the concentration of it. Do I recommend it? Yes yes yes.

Exactly ... I saved over $50 when I noticed after testing both in Macy's. After 15 minutes on the skin, it becomes Versace Eros lmao!!! True story ... don't let the initial sprays intoxicate you ... the dry down is where the truth lives :) !

Females will always prefer the scent of the EDP. It's the men that like the Parfum. Similar to Azzaro Wanted by Night. The new flanker of that one has nothing on it as far as compliments from women go.
