In this speech, she was full of life, animated and upbeat. The last year or so of her life she seemed as if the fire was going out. Rest in peace beautiful Naomi. ♥️

Ironically, if you read her memoir River of Time, 2013 (the year she gave this talk) was one of the worst years of her life regarding her mental health. She had extensive stays in the hospital, rehab, a psych ward, etc. She was dealing with severe treatment resistant depression, panic attacks, and PTSD. It's scary how normal she could make herself look in public.

I love the metaphors she uses to explain her thoughts they are so wonderful in letting you see exactly what she wants you to understand. I love Naomi . We lost a treasure when her depression convinced her she had had enough.

Sad she is gone... I dont understand it if she knew all this and had so much to live for a whole lot more than I or some of us do... She had a husband who loved her. friends, fame, she had Jesus, her faith even humor and much more to look forward to... So I dont understand why she lost her battle why she took her life... I have so much that depressed me and so much grief and loss... How am I supposed to go on Lord when she could not? She knew so much and had so much love so much help and even hope... She did not feel hopeless like some of us she got help from supposedly the best of the best professionals... So what happened... I want to know

Naomi was and is a very special person. She brought so much love, happiness, and humor to the world during the 76 years she was here on Earth. Naomi will continue to do all of that in memory through the words she said on film, in the books she wrote, and in song ❤

This lady was beautiful inside and out. It's so sad she couldn't overcome her demons. She was strong courageous inspiring eloquent lovely. She was so much more than she thought she was. A legend a beautiful piece of country history. She was and had so much yet failed to believe she made a difference. So many admired not only for her beauty and talent but her kind and gentle soul, and wisdom to help others. A beautiful flower that blossomed, but yet withered away when she had so much power. R.I.P beautiful lady. Gone but not forgotten.

She could overcame the demons if she stuck stay true to Jesus her Lord! Because at one time she was a Christian she overcame depression and all that she went through years past when she was younger.

So sad that the therapy and (possibly medications or whatever treatment she may have received) just wasn’t quite enough for her. What an extraordinary talent and beautiful woman. Im just sharing my heart, so don’t be offended, but I feel like someone can never really find true, lasting peace and joy in life unless they ask Jesus into their heart and life. He is a true best friend and loves us more than we have the capacity to even fathom. He’s free. And He’s alive. God bless you. And Rest In Peace, Naomi. We will always love you!

14:00 I think this is what caused her deep pain until the end. I can relate, both my mother and mother in law are unsafe people to tell troubles too because they will turn it around to be my fault somehow. At the same time, they used me as their sounding board.

I think along time ago people didn't show affection like they do now. I was gone from home for two years and when I came home I hugged ny Dad and I started crying, and he said why are you crying? I Loved my Dad and I got emotional. My Dads family didn't show emotion.But I knew he Loved me, but never used the word Love.

First crisis that changed everything? Watching my step mum slice her wrist when I was 3 1/2 years old. She told me it was my fault. Of course at that age you do not have the mentality to think otherwise, you just believe it. Then you "man-up" quickly because there's no one there for you. But how much can you be there for yourself @ 3 1/2 years old? It is NOT my fault, IT IS HERS! But we never forget, no matter how many times we wring out that proverbial sponge, we never forget.

My Heart has been breaking since her passing, I've been in the very shoes she's has been made to walk in due to others irreversible decisions , and the life she's had to live with/& in due to her mother, so I TRULY FROM THE SOUL, GET THE DEPRESSION & SHE WAS A TRUE "" EARTH BOUND ANGEL "", CARRYNG GODS MESSAGES & THE MESSAGE THAT WE AS HUMAN BEINGS & CHILDREN OF GOD DON'T HAVE TO ALLOW OTHERS LIVES & THEIR DECISIONS, CONTROL OR DICTATE TO US OR OUR LIVES, WHOM WERE ARE, WHAT WE SHOULD BE,HOW WE SHOULD FEEL OR ACT OR ALLOW ANY OF IT TO CONTROL OUR LIVES, PERIOD & THAT WE ALL ARE CHILDREN OF GOD & HE LOVES US ALL & "" OUR INDIVIDUAL LIFE, TRULY MATTERS, WE MATTER & WE ALL HAVE CHANGED THE WORLD FOR THE BETTER & OTHER'S LIVES FOR THE BETTER, JUST BY BEING & FOR BEING OURSELVES, STRAIGHT UP FACTS & TRUTH, PERIOD!!!!! And with that said,,, PLEASE FATHER GOD , WRAP YOUR LOVING & MERCIFUL ARMS AROUND THIS VERY PRECIOUS ANGEL & DAUGHTER OF YOURS , AND ALLOW HER, NOT JUST TO KNOW IT IN HER MIND, BUT KNOW & FEEL IT IN HER SPIRIT & LET HER SOUL FEEL & TRULY SEE W/HER EYES OF HER SOUL,,,SHE MATTERED & HER PHYSICAL LIFE MATTERED WHILE SHE WAS IN HER HUMAN BODY & BEING & IT STILL MATTERS NOW THAT SHE'S WITH YOU IN HER SPIRITUAL BEING, AMEN ""!!! She mentioned her daughter Ashley suffers from depression too. But sadly Ashley was the one that found her after she shot herself. The pain and shock of having to find her mother like that is just unimaginable to a daughter. Naomi should of thought about who would find her after she committed suicide and how that person will be traumatized (even more) for the rest of their lives.
@butterfliesandstars9286
@butterfliesandstars9286 2 жыл бұрын
Naomi had been dealing with depression for many years and had often spoke about ending her own life with a firearm. Ashley, Wynonna, and Larry should have thought about that before they let Naomi be left alone with a gun. Naomi was vulnerable and obviously not thinking clearly. She was the victim in this situation. People need to stop blaming Naomi.
